I'd say McCallum, Gonzales, or Griffin....the KO of Griffin was top notch considering how good Montel was before then...he was undefeated.

Charles is the number one. He was only a Lt heavy when he won the Heavyweight Title his resume is second to none. When he lost to Walcott and Marciano he was ill hed already beat Walcott 3times and Moore 4, he fought the fighters nobody else would he was at his best at 12 stone. He got his chance when the people that ran Boxing thought he was past it and still won

well gene tunney had just as many big names and i think he could outbox Charles but both were pretty old school so i think that spinks could still could win his style was very awkward and he had alot of power and lightheavy still think he is the best even though i think i am the only one that does

Gene Tunney - took on and beat top 10 heavyweight champ of all time Jack Dempsey, took on and beat Harry Greb in a rematch....he was THE REAL DEAL

Billy Conn - took on and nearly beat GREATEST heavyweight of all time Joe Louis

Bob Foster - had the balls to take on Joe Frazier....didn't do well but he was damned good otherwise

But Greb was a middle weight and beat his ass. Greb fought over 300 pro fights once fought 60 times in a year. If Greb was a light heavy weight he would have been the greatest. In my opinion Greb was the best ever to box at any weight class.
