Floyd vs Zab was set up long before he lost to Baldomir. Baldomir was supposed to be a meaningless defense to set up the big fight with Floyd, but Zab blew it.Originally Posted by Master

When did I deny that Cotto was hurt by CorleyOriginally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
He was out on his feet no doubt, but Corley payed for it. I saw Floyd hurt on two occasions late in the third which agrees with your point, and early in the 4th where he was hurt for a hell lot longer than a split second. This where he went to the ropes and didn't throw nothing and took plenty of clean shots. Cotto WAS hurt worse than Floyd, but the same fighter gave Floyd a similar problem. When I saw the Cotto fight live I honestly thought he was done, but we all know what happened next. Usually when a fighter dances with the stars like that he usually tastes the canvas. CC once again for the debate and to all those that CC'd me as well.

Mayweather took one shot in that clip. That's it. He wasn't fucking hurt. You need to watch the fight instead of paying attention to what the announcers say. Use your eyes not Lampley's voice.Originally Posted by Joerod

I F****** hate Lampley so don't give me that crap. I never pay attention to what announcers say they're too damn biased similar to the FMJ nuthuggers. :;insert smiley hanging from Floyd's nuts. I have nothing against Floyd, I even met the guy once at one of my cousin's fights before he was Money Mayweather and he seemed cool then. You still haven't convinced me that he was not hurt. Maybe I'll ask him in the next chat.![]()

is it really necessary to quote everything....man, im getting finger cramp trying to scroll through all this crap.
Sorry about that.![]()

I don't agree, Mosely would be a much harder fight for Floyd than Cotto would in my opinion! Mosely has better boxing skills, better defence, more speed and just as much power (arguably more because he carried it straight to 154). Floyd would use his footwork and pick holes in Cotto's defence all night long. He'd have a harder time doing that against mosely.Originally Posted by Eli_jr24
Your 2nd point I also disagree with..what is this fasination with facing unbeaten fighters? How many unbeaten fighters can you truly face in your career? People saying that Mayweather hasn't faced unbeaten opposition since Corales aren't thinking straight. True that a fight between 2 ESTABLISHED unbeaten boxers gives the fight an extra appeal but it's almost like you're discrediting Floyd for fighting guys like Oscar, Genaro, Castillo, Judah etc because they had been beaten! So with that logic Katsidis, Amir Khan, Chavez Jr, Berto are all better than Mosely, Oscar, Hopkins, Wright because they don't have losses next to their namesBad arguement IMO
Floyd hasnt done anything Spectacular since beating Corrales. Hes been a very average champion in who has fought and beaten compared to past champs. I dont know why people dont see this. His 0 means nothing but hype $. He is a talented fighter but he hasnt lived up to his potential imo.

You might be right about Jones, but Jones is in the twilight of his career and Mayweather is only 30 or 31.
World titles in 5 different weight classes while being undefeated at 30 years old with almost 40 fights already.......
Sounds like a legend in the making to me (and everyone else that isn't a hater)
I will give you a CC to pass on to the Oracle for me.Originally Posted by Danny_G
