I don't personally think this, but I saw alot of people on other boards saying they thought Castillo took a dive against Hatton.

    Very well said.

I remember even reading here that JLC had tooken a dive against Hatton.
Fuck! me that shot was deadly...

I was about to post Zab took a dive against Tszyu as a joke but it appears someone beat me to the joke part of the thread.

    You've gotta be kidding right?
I don't know how many times you've seen this fight and how many times you saw the replay but that hook that dropped Jaca would have dropped most Featherweights who were in the same conditions. Jaca did better then most people thought he would he fought his ass off that night he gave as good as he received and to say he took a dive just let's me know that your merely speaking from anger and disappointment more then anything.

I'll tell you what, something tells me you've only seen the fight once possibly twice. I have that fight and I just uploaded that fight a few weeks ago if your interested I could send you the links so you can download it and watch it again in it's entirety. Let me know and I'll send you a PM.

no jaca couldn't even try to get up. people have to understand, sometimes when a fighter is dropped it may look they are conscious but there legs are stiff and heavy, being stunned from punishment or a big punch. If you meet a guy that has box before and been dropped they can tell you, there are cases when your body is stun and just can not get up, they even lose the brain power to tell themselves to get up.

I see a program on Liston vs Ali and they had this computer program or something to show you exactly where Ali's punch landed and it was nothing more than a grazing blow on the cheek.
Take a grazing blow to the anything from a heavyweight ice.

Yeah but Liston could take a punch, its hard to imagine someone with Liston's chin going down from 1 grazing Ali punch. Ali would be the first to say he isn't a 1-punch guy.

There was one Butterbean opponent who clearly took a dive, Teddy Atlas was commentating and RIPPED into him ("Oh god, someone needs to tell him that the actor's studio is 2 blocks down the street" or something). I know 99% of butterbean's opponents are human bowling pins, but this guy just did not want to fight.

I haven't erased that fight in my DVR but thanks. Jaca did fought his heart out in that fight, both of them actually. JMM kept fighting with a big cut in the eyebrow. So you're saying if Jaca tried to get up, he would've been like Judah or Darchinyan when they were KOed?

I think he was just shocked and couldn't think right.

Sonny went down from a flash shot and then was acutally too scared of rising because he was too intemedated by Ali. He was standing right there and was waiting for listen to rise to hit him with another shot, so he stayed down. not a dive, but he was just scared.

He made out he was hurt but getting up and falling again that was total BS and bad acting from Sonny.

Prison guards used to smack Liston over the head with clubs and couldn't even knock him down yet Ali who isn't known for his one punch KO power nor is he a power puncher hits Liston with a grazing shot to the cheek and and has him staggering and reeling from only a grazing shot ?? yea right.
