#3121 Thanks... I know you are a big Wladdy fan yourself and although I dont like him being the representative for the division, I will say the boy got skills!!! but the thing that nabs me cornhole is that the Majority of his fans are hypocrites and like to down play and excuse every Knockdown, Cut and Stamina issues Klit has, but the minute Peter has trouble he is overrrated and laughed at  I mean Klit fans make me hate him even more cause there FUKIN RETARDED!!!!! REALLY REALLY WETARDED!!!

What I'm wondering about Peter is if he is even a big a hitter as he is made out to be. His biggest knock out to this day has remain the knock out of Jeremy Williams. A small heavyweight with a poor chin. He couldn't knock out the smaller Toney. And he was able to hit Toney. McCline got hit with some shots, but didn't go no where. He can knock out the D level heavyweights. But some C level heavyweights like Charles Shufford and Robert Hawkins have gone the distance with him. And hit Hawkins flush with power shots. I don't see Peter being the monster hitter he's made out to be.

I guess sam is a bit overrated after that mccline fight. I guess sam still can improve but his chin has been expose and isn't the iron we once though after the wlady fight. I agree with violent demise, his also not as big of a hitter his made out to be.

Peter is very overrated and he won't be around much to longer and was exposed by an old washed up, no killer instinct having pu$$y Jameel Mcline . I even thought Peter loss the fight. If he can't get past Mcline he is in a sh#t load of trouble.

I think Peter may have been overratted by some but McCline is a big awkward guy and he caught him with some good shots early.

Peter survived and came back to dominate the second half of the fight. He's still a work in progress and it wasn't his best night but it made for a fun fight.

It's kind of funny that Pavlik got hailed a hero despite being almost KTFO out last week and Peter is overratted for coming back from similar adversity to win this weekend.

I think McCline has been underratted by a lot of people, at 6 ft 5 he's a big guy whose got some decent tools.

Peter will never be a great heavyweight as he's too limited and slow but he's still an entertaining fighter to watch, is doing Africa proud and always gives 100%.

I think he remains one of the biggest threats in the division although I have been saying for months that Tony Thompson is the real threat to wlad in the division.

Thompson has been a nice little roll. But I don't think he has any chance of beating Wlad. I would give him a good chance against Peter. If he can take Peter's shots (which I think he can) than I think he beats him.

I think Thompson beats everyone out there apart from Wlad. It completely baffles me how the American media who are desperate to find an American hope completely overlook him. They hype up guys like Eddie Chambers and Chris Arreola, Chazz Witherpsoon etc and still talk about Rahman, Brewster and Hoylfield when its clear to anyone that realistically none of these guys can unify the divsion or beat Wlad yet Thompson who really does have the size, skill, power and general awkwardness to pose a threat to anybody has to travel to Germany to get fights.

Although it's probably better for him to slip under the radar without any weight of expectation on his shoulders.

2008 will be a big year for him though. He'll probably start it by ending Evander Holyfield's career.........

"When I went down I knew I had to stand up." Peter said he did not overlook McCline, but entered the fight with a broken left hand. "Both of my hands were hurting me tonight," he stated. "I am going back home to bring the WBC heavyweight championship back to Africa."

Thats totally different Marquez was caught cold by one of the best boxers in the world today and got up and won most of the rounds and looked damn impressive in doing so totally different than getting knocked down by someone who is a light hitter and isn't even considered that good of a Heavyweight i mean getting outboxed by a bum like Zuri Lawerence ?? come off it.

Im shocked your comparing a fight like Marquez vs Pacquiao to Peter vs McCline difference is Pacquiao is one of the hardest hitting fighters today and is P4P number 2 in the world enough said.

I think Thompson can do some damage given the opportunity and has a solid chance vs.Peter.MCcline revealed alot of weaknesses in Peter,Fluid Mobility+Long boxing with snap and solid chin=problems. And I have never bought MCcline as serious contender.
Thompson really does not get respect buzz over here your right. You see How quick they shut up about twinkle toes Calvin Brock.Love holyfield but he should stick with fighting (if at all) those short Plugger types.Tony Is Pretty wiley and awkward.....And very confident!

To answer the thread question, it's difficult to just say yes or no. If people are saying that Peter is the 2nd best heavyweight in the world, then he's not overrated, because he is the 2nd best.
If people think he has the potential to really be a dominant fighter, then I think they are overrating him.

I wouldn't criticize him too much for these. Toney has one of the greatest chins in history, and is also one of the best defensive fighters of this generation. McCline also has a very sturdy chin and is a very large heavyweight.

    maskaev isnt knocking anything out

    maskav is a fucking can

mccline has looked real good lately, he was a few rounds away form KTFOing valuev before his knee gave ouyt, but h4e shouldnt be strong enough to hurt a guy big vladdy didnt KTFO

my guess is that maybe peter doesnt take a punch as good as it semes he does

ity could have been the first KD tho, he was knocked off balance from a shoulder block and hit with an uppercut whiole NIETHER of his feet were ion the floor, that could have hurt him enough to getr knocked down the next two times
