Pavlik VS Kessler

People are way overhyping Pavlik... Kessler would destroy him.

Actually i read a few of your posts on Taylor vs Pavlik fight and i think you have been underrating Pavlik.

I think everyone is over rating Pavlik a bit...In all honesty he has a punchers chance in any fight but there is still much more time before Kelly is to be considered one of the top guys out there reguardless of the title...

He was getting beat by Taylor until the 7th....Jermain is no big puncher....Kessler would be too much for Kelly at this point in time...I like Pavlik but he is still in need of some experience

Well thats your opinion that Pavlik was losing but on my scorecard he was 1 point ahead i think Pavlik can mop up most at Middleweight without much trouble Pavlik has pretty good defense great power good chin and great heart i think some people are overrating him Daxx is because when is the last time we had exciting Middleweight champion ?? and as for Taylor he may not be big hitter but Pavlik got hit with about 12 flush shots and when you get hit with about 12 flush punches on the chin and temple then you will go down regardless Daxx and i think Pavlik would do well at 168 but we will have to wait and see im not going to jump the gun.

Great Fight, two powerful jabbers, little height discrepancy, both like to move forward and finish guys,
Kessler with superior skill, Pavlik maybe having the slight edge in power.(or maybe not.) Both guys have good chins.
I'll salivate in anticipation if this fight is announced.

While I do love the S*** outta Pavlik...I think that there is only so far that he can go & be successful. Kessler, IWHO, would have just as much success as Pavlik with the jab...but Kessler's jab is like a hammer & h e's damned accurate with it. In the end...I don't see KP being able to deal with anyone like Kess, Joe, Hopkins, or even a worn out RJJ.

I disagree wholeheartedly with you in reference to Kelly dealing with Nard and Calzaghe.

Calzaghe cant put the mustard on his punches because of his hands to put a dent in Pavlik, those pitter patter slaps will do nothing. Kelly throws straight crisp shots , he dosent loop his punches.... You know which punch Joe has the most trouble dealing with? The straight right, Pavliks bread and butter and he brings the thunder... I see Joe getting backed up like everyone else and just grinded down like everyone else.. 

Bernard Hopkins at this point of his career is utter garbage and mockery of the sport. He is clearly past it Boxing skill wise. He compensates his deteriated skilll and age by WWE tactics.He habitually headbutts, blatantly holds and hits.

A typical Hopkins sequence is Headdown fire the right, Clinch hold and hit occasionally mixing in a headbutt and excessive holding worse than Ruiz and Hatton.. WASH< RINSE AND REPEAT FOR 12 ROUNDS.

If you bo back and watch the Tarver and Wright fights he is worse than Ruiz..I like many didnt get upset over his tactics VS Tarver cause I like many of us hate Tarver and I got caught up in the romance of him winning the Lightheavy title and retireing but he came back and fought a dirty foul laden fight against Wright and now I hate the guy cause he is garbage skill wise now and thinks he is in a MMA match everytime out

No matter how you look at it or how you judged it...IMO Pavlik is good for the sport, Nice guy who is willing to do what it takes in the ring to make sure his job is done well......He still has some improveing to do but he only has what 26 fights or so...and he is young yet....Assuming he keeps working on his Defense IMO his biggest weakness he will go far and has a long future ahead of him

Kessler knows how to control range and distance with the jab. I'd like to see how Kelly looks at the weight,and I know not to write him off so I'm not sure. Kelly has the power to hurt anyone and is an awesome finisher.

Not sure about your comments on Kelly Wack my man,I'd take Pavlik over B Hop,Winky and an old RJJ for sure. I think JC beats him though,too fast,too many angles,too much speed.

What i like about this fight is that both guys are straight punchers. This would provide an interesting matchup as both guys would be right in front of each other when attempting to land.
In the end i feel that the win would go to the fitter man who could adapt more. Despite his loss to Calzaghe i feel that man may be Kessler and i now alter my opinion and no longer underestimate Mikkel's power, but it would be a great fight which could swing either way

kessler would match up well with pavlik.. his height and size.. kessler is as strong if not stronger, my opinion kessler would send one stright down the pipe at some point and it would be all she wrote.
