You have probably seen these, but The Shining is a classic and one of my favorite movies of all time. When that kid is riding his damn toy through the halls I was terrrified{when I was younger}, an dit still gives me the creeps when I watch it. Also, the original When a Stranger Calls. One of the scariest scenes ever, when she's on the phone.

Haven't seen when a stranger calls, il give it a look.

For all out messed up creepiness, try the original Grudge or the Ring.

Never saw The Grudge, and The Ring didn't do anything for me; though my girlfriend was scared silly. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is still a classic, and I live out here near where it supposedly happened in real life. When Grandpa is hiting that chick in the head with the hammer is not only freaky scary, but funny too.

    Yeah, it's an ATG horror.
It's scary as hell at the end where they show they actual footage of Thomas Hewitt. Not a pretty sight!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is based loosely on Ed Gein, but that wasn't in Texas. The director of the original, Tobe Hooper, said he was standing in line at K-Mart or something and was near a display of chainsaws and briefly wondered what it would be like to start one up and hack his way up to the front.

There's a movie based on Ed Gein that should be available at Blockbuster. Psycho is also based loosely on him too. He had a very domineering mother who was deeply religious and once she died he went a little loopy, still hearing her persecuting him and he started making women into lampshades.
    Oops

Lol, I was always under the impression from people out here that it supposedly happened out near Ft.Worth, Tx. Guess I heard it when I was young and never thought to do any research on it, lmao. Thanks Liquid By the way, the IFC channel has a movie named Gein or Ed Gein, saw it about a month ago, independent film. Pretty weird flick

A source told me that Child's Play and Poltergeist are being remade.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Poltergeist is a personal favorite of mine, but I think a remake could be exciting.

Remaking Child's Play is a colossal waste of money. Money that should be put toward the national debt.

For Hitmandonny, I watched Hostel 2 last night. Pretty good actually. If you like soccer, you'll love the end, lol.

I thought the movie was great until the ending, the guy you thought was good ended up being the superkiller, and the one you thought was bad ended up not being able to go threw with it which was strange to me.

The Hostel's were pretty gruesome.. but we're comparing two different categories here really.. I mean there are the fictional characters like chuckie/michael myers/jason etc and THOSE are the quintessential slasher movies.. but if we're just discussing horror then you REALLY have to see The Hills Have Eyes for a focked up movie.. I've only seen a little bit of the second one, but it looks to be just as bad..

Cool, il give it a look, thanks!
Yesterday i saw "Zodiac," and "Outlaw"

Zodiac was good, could have been great but too drawn out....
Outlaw was good for action but poor in every other dept. and was a bit sad when viewed in context.

.....you talking about the original Hills Have Eyes or the newer one

Psycho - Norman Bates was a great one, that movie was intense
