May be a perfect time for Duddy to catch Eastman. He'll defiantly Make the fight steaming forward and Eastman will have to weather it early. He'll have to offset Duddys aggression with smart counter boxing and if he comes in at TOP FORM ( of whats left with him) and goes rounds he will have his best chance down the stretch.
Bonsante and Campas greeted Duddy head to head,This will be a totally different style and a level of savy boxer he has yet to run across IMo.
If Eastman is as weathered and immobile as is suspected and he has shown at times.....He better wear a Helmut and bring a BAT.My only hope is that he does not come in excepting he might be what Duddy camp wants...A good name ready to be put out to pasture By one tuff S.O.B

You can take off the censorship thing in your profile, I was just saying you know your "stuff". Anyone who backs Duddy is a genius in my book.

    Why is Eastman still fighting?

TKO win for Duddy late rounds.

Oh! you mean the one where I feel that Chavez beat Whitaker.
As I posted once before and I'll do it again.
Was I biased when I saw the fight?
Yes, I was 12 at that time.
Was I biased when I saw it again years later?
    A little.
Was I biased when I saw it yet again years later?
No, and I saw JCC win by 1 point.
Do I score the fight the same?
NO, One day I'll score the fight one way the next day I'll score it different.
If I watched the fight right now who's to say I wouldn't score it for Pernell.

But to be real here, Pernell has got to be the unluckiest fighter ever I mean according to his fans all of his loses are robberies and even then the loss to Tito is scraped as fight that never took place or should have happened. So I guess that makes Pernell undefeated. The Bojorquez fight is a past his best Pernell (I agree) but it's still a loss.
I mean IMO tho Pernell was an exceptional fighter and master at being elusive sometimes for my liking he left much to be desired from.
I mean from JLRamirez all the way to the Bojorquez fights theirs excuses to him loosing.

I really hope you dont think Jose Luis Ramirez won that fight , he had been living in France for awhile and was pretty popular. I really think that those judges were off, the American had Whitaker winning 117-113, the Judge named Campos had JLRamirez 118-113 and the French judge 116-115, they were all watching a different fight it seems....

Anytime people have discussed the idea of Duddy vs Pavlik on this board they seem to think Pavlik would utterly dominate the fight without giving Duddy half a chance. From what little I've seen of Duddy and I mean little, he seems to be very quick (quite a bit quicker than pavlik) but then again so was Jermain Taylor . Does he really lack the ability to contend with the elite's at middleweight? And if so are there any videos posted online that could help us clarify this?

We'll find out soon enough about where Duddy is going after the Eastman fight, or at least get a better gauge. He wouldn't go 6 rounds with Pavlik right now IMO; hell I would have liked to see him fight Miranda if Pantera was still in the division and see if John could go 6 with him. Him and Mora need to fight so one of them can go bye-bye.

I think if John Duddy would add a decent defense to his game, Other then that I think he is a pretty exciting fighter. Strong, hard puncher willing to trade. He is also a nice guy when you hear him speak nothing about his personality to make you wish he would get his *** handed to him.

If he could just manage a good defense

As for Sergio Mora thats a guy I can't wait for someone to knock his block off. So arrogant and full of himself. After his last fight and the horrible performance he is going to apologize to his fans for the performance. As if anyone cares.

It is the way that he sits in that Contender Arena if you want to call it that, next to Ray Leonard and then acts like he is genuine all time great doing the world a favor with his presence that makes me want to puke.
