i thought you were Jeff Spicoli Surfs in 'Nawlins. hehehe.
I was unable to put my prediction in the Boxing prediction thread this week. I did not touch any computer gadget during my vacation. That was my promise to myself. Had to be with nature all the way.

Does Joe have a good chin or what?
I could not belive how well he took those shots. Everytime he landed the upper or the straight I was waiting to see Joe wobble. He never did... He did look stunned in the 2nd when he went to the ropes but thats about it.
i actually haven't seen the fight yet. Do you have a video link of the fight CutMeMick?

Great performance by Joe. He deserves all the credit. And Kessler has nothing to be a shamed of. He fought a great fight.

Watching replay now waiting for the asprin to kick in ...ouch.
IMO this is one fight that is keeping boxing steadfast and upright.A truely great oppurtunity to see how International exposure is Needed in large doses.Kessler not as sharp as I Invisioned and Calzaghe earns top notch respect...very good boxer AND Fighter...Calzaghe vs.Hopkins will Happen!!
Ive Bashed HBO alot but thank you for showing that not all the great fighters are always overhere/More so Thank Calzaghe and Kessler for letting it all hang out.I did not Believe In Calzaghe 2 or 3 years ago but last night was one of those times when you see a Guy at his absolute peak & you say "What have I been Missing And where can I see More"
I turn My little hometown Paper and I fall out of my chair ,A pic.of both guys in the sports section![]()
You have to understand the lack of exposure and just plain non fan fare for ANY boxing...Its all Football Etc.
Great to see,Boxing is on the rebound big time ........I feel like hugging someone LOL.![]()
I was at the fight with my brother and although i did think joe won the fight i thought it was closer than what the scorecards showed but ill watch it again on tv tonight nd see if i c things diferently. Both fighters deserve alot of credit for their perfomances and i agree with the people that r saying kessler should of let his hands go more but then again its hard when facing some1 the calibre of calzaghe.
I can see what your saying, but watch it on tv and i guarantee youll see a different fight. Calzaghe will stay right in front of Kessler and still make him miss by a hair with his head and upper body movement. Depending on the angle I can see how it looks like Kessler may have scored more. I had it 117-111 but 116-112 was ok too. Definately no closer imo. No doubt it was a good competitive fight though. Both guys came to fight and to win I just think Calzage stayed a step ahead most of the time and put Kessler in a position he has never been in where his boxing ability wasnt good enough.Originally Posted by warreng
