There is no point nitpicking at this. There is no official P4P list so none of you are wrong.

You're right, there's no "official" list but the most renowned and one used by anyone involved in boxing is RING MAGAZINE's list.Originally Posted by The Rookie Fan

For digging that up.
I was off on Ricardo Lopez by 1. I said the highest I ever saw him rated was at #4 turns out he actually made it to #3.
I learned something new now. Thanks Sweet.
Also I think I have the rankings for 1997 at home in a magazine I'm gonna give it a look when I get home and if I do have them I'll add them to that list.
Have they got 80s one ??
I do disagree with one fight the Duran vs Leonard.Duran was not in his prime when he fought Leonard I believe he had 76 fights before he fought Leonard.I would say Duran was slipping a little bit by then. His best years were as a lightweight.I know I know he somehow kept fighting until like 2002 or something but as a lightweight he was at his best.
The Ring stopped doing PFP rankings for a while, and they didn't start again until 1989. So that's the only year from the 80s where there are rankings. Here is the link to those.Originally Posted by Ricardo "Finito" Lopez

Lol..Although the 90's are interesting to look at some of those are incredible.. I really disagree with alot of those.. especially towards the late 90's they just seem a little muddled up..
