I disagree with a couple of guy's on here trying to downgrade Ricky Hatton, I really believe it's unfair, and it seems to grow more and more everyday, the guy is a great fighter I don't care what these people say

I don't think its downgrading i think its just being reasonable, Hatton is too small to beat any of the elite Welterweight's Hatton himself has stated that he is too small for Welterweight and no one would know better than Hatton himself.

Definately true. It seems asthough just becuase he was stopped by PBF people have lost ALOT of faith in him as a fighter, which is very unfair. Everyone needs to remember he was fighting one of the best fighters of recent years and certainly the best in the world today. And he wasnt allowed to fight the way he wanted to and got a bit desperate. PBF was, is and always will be a better boxer but to say people like Cintron, Margarito etc beat him without hesitation is a tad unfair.

I don't think anyone is trying to berate Ricky. He is a damn good fighter. Many just think he is out of his element at welterweight where their are some huge mofo's compared to him. Ricky is even kinda small for a Jr. Welterweight, but his skill overcomes his size deficiencies. At welterweight, those deficiencies just become even more pronounced.

Hatton should have gone after a fight with Cotto when he was still at light welter weight because now he has developed into a bit of a ring monster.
Well Me at leas don't think Hatto will be able to beat Cotto, Mosley, Williams, Margarito and Cintron. way too big and way too strong.

Here there is Poll about it

CC DeanrW and Julie. Good posts, common sense and what I think and agree with totally. No-one is saying Hatton is not a good fighter but don't try to make him what he isn't-a legit contender at WW. His father and trainer admit he's too small to fight the elite at the weight. Some of his hardcore fans do too so I'm not really seeing the big fuss about it.He's sitll world class at 140,he just isnt effective with his style at 147.
