Judah always puzzles me, all the skills natural ability and power one could want and he just throws fights away...

Well, that's why they say the sweet science is 70-80% mental, and Judah is lacking in that department when the waters are deep, at least for a couple of years now anyways. All fighters have flaws, but a mentally questionable fighter is probably at the biggest disadvantage, at least in the long run IMO.

100% correct Legion. Judah is one of the fastest fighters(handspeed wise) in the world, has decent power and good skills. However,he does not have the heart/determination that guys like Baldo have. For all intents and purposes,Baldo-Judah was a mismatch in every you look at it(fighters fought, records, titles and most importantly,a HUGE disparity in skills) but Baldo won. Why?He showed the heart and determination to come through whatever Judah threw at him to win.

Yep, look at guys like Quarry and Cobb. Lost alot of big fights, but never gave up and kept plodding forward. Though lacking in skills, the mental was always there, so respect to guys like that win or lose.

Boxing it seems has become the "well, IF he would have done this or that"......if, if, if. IF Judah had his mind right, he could beat anyone. He doesn't so he won't....end of story IMO.

That's why I like Pavlik so much; he is old school and win or lose from his flaws, it won't be because of mental, as he'll be there all night in that department. All the talent in the world won't help someone, as a mentally weak guy will get found out in the end. Mayweather is an ACE; he has been in situations where he could have panicked, and he stays as firm as a rock under pressure, while Judah goes into panic-land. That to me is what makes a true champion.

This is one one of the best fights and most interesting fights to be made in my opinion. Never thought it would happen but really there is no more perfect time then now. And I don't like Judah and sometimes dislike how many chances he gets but if he legitimately wants to get back in the title picture on the basis of more then just putting on a valliant performance, then this is the perfect opportunity for him to do so.

And for Margarito, it seems that a win over Judah these days means that you are a big deal. So this is good for Margarito.

Good on to Judah for making this happen. Say what you want about him, I know I certainly have, the guy is never scared to fight anyone and he always wants that next tough fight. Honestly I'm impressed.

Very interested to see how this plays out in the ring if it does happen.

I do realise that some guys will now worry about my mental health but, I'm going to root for Judah.

Margarito is rough, tough and puts his heart into his fighting, everything a fight fan could really ask.
But Judah (his polar opposite) had the potential to be a great. His physical abilities rival those of any fighter from any era, his speed is indeed super and his skills must be respected. I hope he has come to terms with the mental problems that have apprehended his progress and although I dislike him as a person I want him to have one last attempt at glory.

    Zab is the new Gatti.

Keeps loseing more than he wins but keeps getting big fights.

Should be a good one while it lasts.

The thing with Gatti was that one could understand why he'd get those big fights, he was a legitimate test for anybody, wherever he went then fans followed and brought money, the Gatti show made sense for any good fighter looking to make it big.

As for Judah, well it's difficult to understand why. At 140 he was a machine, in fact before the Tszyu fight I'll have to admit he had me convinced, so perhaps memories of that form and potential linger in promoters and fans minds allowing them to justify Judah fights.

However, I believe in the eyes of the matchmaker the name Judah is becoming synonymous with tune ups for top level fighters and validations for up and comers.
