    Round 1:

Great body shots from Derry to start off, he is using his reach advantages well and using combo's on the Georgian, left and right to the head , NB not throwing back and missing when he attempts, strong combo again from Derry and NB is being out gained from the scouser, BIG two body shots and NB is down for the first time, gets up at 8, NB down again a little later for the sceond time after a brilliant body shot and now fails the 10 count.

This was target practice for Derry with brilliant body and head shots and scores a nice convincing win, NB just could not cope with his reach and sickening body shots.

    Matthews winner KO1.

    Matthews:

"I have been working on those combo's in the gym and I have once again proved I am the best feather in the country, I take every fight serious and I proved people I am a good body puncher tonight and I have my eyes set on Steven Luevano for the WBO title in the next 12 months and hopefully Frank can get me a shot at him."

Minter looks confident and so to Jennings, great reception for both as well.

    Round 1:

Minter coming right on him, good jabs however from Jennings, Minter went down of a hook but never touched the canvas but ref never counted him and it should have been a count, Jennings is swarming over him, good shots from Jennings and this is a big round and Ross needs to clear his head. Minter appears to have recovered and comes back with good head shots but Minter does not have great movement and he is leaving him open. Big shots from Minter rocking Jennings in the closing seconds but that's Jenning's round.

    10-9 Jennings

    Round 2:

Minter backing Mike to ropes and landing a good one-two to the head, Jennings trying to work that jab but Minter coming back with great will power and heart and landing some good shots downstairs. Lot of holding towards the end, Minter starting to enjoy success now and good right hand to finish the round, Minter's round.

    19-19 All Even.

    Round 3:

Great combo from Minter inside 1st 30 seconds and he has turned this fight around, good jabs from Ross and Jennings is trying to box from the outside but it's not working, good right hand from Mike now and Minter is setting a very fast pace and this could be a problem as he may tire himself out, good clubbing right from Minter and he is fighting his fight but not doing a great job cutting off the ring, Mike not just throwing enough here and Minter lands a good right uppercut towards the end and finished strongly, round to Minter.

    29-28 Minter

    Round 4:

Ross is cut from a clash of heads it was confirmed, great combo's from both and this is a fantastic clash of style's, good left upper from Jennings and the pace is slowing now for Minter, Oh and what a great right hand and Minter goes down and gets back up towards the end, big round from Jennings whose jab was working well as well.

    10-8 Jennings

    38-37 Jennings

CC Lee, and all others on the thread, looks like an eventful night's boxing in progress so far. Minter sounds better than I expected him to be, cause Jennings strikes me as the better of the two, but it's a funny old game.

As for Derry Matthews' fight, there's no way that he'd have been in there if there was any chance of him losing, and getting stripped of WBU and EBU mandatory for a meaningless tune-up.

Keep it up lee, sounds a good fight.

Minter looks as if he still has not recovered from the knockdown and Ross is now cut from the left ear and this is going from bad to worse, good shot from Minter as he comes back into it, Jennings has stepped off the gas a little and you have to admire Ross' heart he really wants this belt but Jennings is picking him off with a jab and then a hook and great uppercut from Jennings who is boxing beutiful and Jennings through his boxing ability has got this round despite Minter finishing strong with a solid right, round Jennings

    48-46 Jennings

    Round 6:

Jennings starting to mark up and is cut on the left eye and he lands a good right and great uppercut, Minter is managing to get Jennings to slow his pace and working well behind his jab and it's jab and then a right for Ross and Mike is throwing jab's but missing and Ross landing good shots to body, I give that round to Minter on workrate.

    57-56 Jennings.

    Round 7

Great from Minter, coming forward landing good shots especially with the overhand right and Jennings is droping his hands and more good shots from Miknter with a good hook and working to the body and without doubt Minter's best of the night, Jennings was not himself in that round, Jenning corner are getting concerned, Minter's round.

    66-66 level for me.

    Round 8:

Good round from Minter at the start with good hooks and jabs and had won the round virtually as Jennings workrate dropt but Jennings came on strong in the final minute and nearly dropped Ross from a good right and Minter's legs had looks gone and if Jennikngs picks his punches this bout will be over now. Round Jennings.

    76-75 Jennings
