I am not trying to be mean to you Daxx, but I have no idea why you brought up Henry Armstrong or Ray Robinson? Both of them would have given Mayweather a run for his money, and Robinson would have beaten him, but Robinson is a natural welterweight with amazing speed, power, granite chin... he isn't like Margarito because he has talent and skill. Henry Armstrong again is much faster than MArgarito, much better at doing what he does, When was Amrstrong brought up anywhere? Also how is Hatton much smaller? Tell me what weight Hatton walks around at, and what weight class he started off in? 140? Isn't that 10 pounds above where Mayweather started? Aren't more than half(closer to 80%) Mayweather fights at 135 or below.

About MAyweather vs Gatti: A lot of people were saying Gatti was going to win, do you want me to look it up for you?
Dela Hoya: He sure was hanging in there against B-HOp for quite awhile, and yes he did lose to Sturm, but he deserved the nod over Mosley in their second fight and over Trinidad. He also beat the shit out of Mayorga in a way we haven't seen before(it was way worse than Mayorga's fight with Trinidad).

Name one guy Margarito has beaten worth mentioning besides Clottey? Nobody. thats what I thought. Cintron is a joke.

Also I do not just make threads about Mayweather, maybe those are the only ones you clue into, but then again you never know what you are talking about.

It is called sarcasim brain scientist...You can't figure that out but I am the one who never knows what he is talking about

And yet I never mentioned your name in my post...There are several people here who have the habit of acting as though Mayweather is just shy of walking on water...so it must have been your conscience that made you react.....

I can acre less how you reply to anything I post...You and your opinion mean about as much to me as Charlie Zelnoff means to the title picture....

The thing with these Mayweather fans is they seem to hypothetically match up a guy against Floyd and if they think Floyd will win then there is no reason for Floyd to fight him.

Question for Floyd fans..... Who do you want Floyd to fight?

That's not it at all... I think Cotto has a chance, even though its very small its still there. Thus I really want him and Mayweather to fight, and I would love to see how they match up. Margarito however I don't care for, I've seen 6 or so guys with his style try to fight MAyweather and I want something new. An orthodox fighter who can box really well, or something like that. Hatton made MAyweather fight an exciting fight at the end, Cotto I believe would bring the best out of Mayweather as well especially because I think Mayweather could hurt Cotto, but MArgarito is a guy who will just come forward and not be able to get anything done... thats not the type of fight I want to see if Mayweather is only going to fight a few more times... Bring on Cotto bring on Paul Williams, but leave the Margarito fights for fights that he will be more interesting in, like against Cotto or a guy who can't box as well.

OK. The Wiz- I'd like to see Floyd fight Tony, because it would be a shutout. Tony has no chance, besides the general "punchers chance". And unbiased people know this man. Then all the fuss about a match that will be lopsided will go away.

DaxxKhan- Cotto beat an aging Mosely who lost the second Oscar fight, and 2 against Forrest, and 2 against Winky. Quintana? U really believe he could beat Floyd? Judah, got beat by floyd, and everyone else that Cotto has fought Floyd would have demolished. So, with that being said, who has fought better, that is around Floyd's weight? You discard Oscar, but not Mosely? WTF? Mosely has only beaten chumps too. What, Mosely beat Vargas, WHO LOST TO MAYORGA, WHO LOST TO OSCAR? That doesnt make much sense.
In your defense, I agree with you that Floyd can't walk on water, and I would personally like to punch him in the face sometimes, but not all Floyd fans r just your basic nut-huggers. Now, with that being said, Robinson-Floyd? Although I'd root for my boy, Ray would probably win the first one on points. Considering that Floyd is one of the best adjusters, I'd give him a chance in tha rematch, because he's a gym rat, and is ring-smart, but how would he react to a loss? None of us know, so, it's all speculation.

We can differ on who wins these fights, but at least let's see them happen. Not these battles between ODL and Hatton again. If he could win a shutout Tony, then he should of fought him for $8 mil (not to mention his buyout of his Top Rank contract) and made some easy money.

No because Mayweather made the exact same amount of money facing Baldomir who was the welterweight champion everyone was complaining he didn't fight when he faced Judah. After Baldomir who did Mayweather fight? Oscar De La Hoya... for how much? 20+ million dollars? So becoming a mainstream celebrity, and actually putting boxing to some extent back on the mainstream or fight a guy who must people would come to realize was way overrated. Fighting Oscar twice is better for Mayweather's legacy than facing Margarito will ever be... same with fighting Hatton or Cotto. When people look back on Mayweather they won't care that he won 120-108 against a guy who was 30something-5, they will care about him beating the big name opponents and the undefeated opponents, like Corrales, Hatton, and soon enough Cotto.

My point is why not fight Margarito in July or Aug of that year, since all you Mayweather fans think it would be a 12 round sparring session? The so called greatest fighter everyone's seen should be able to fight more than twice in a year.

Most top fighters of the modern era have only fought about twice a year once they reached the age of ~28-29 or so.

I agree with most of what Taeth wrote. However, there is no way that Floyd can physically stop Margarito from coming forward. And it's not like Floyd dances around the ring. He likes to hang on the ropes and dodge punches as opposed to "float like a butterfly." Floyd will NOT KO Margarito-NEVER!! Margarito will test Floyd's stamina (not to say Floyd doesn't have good stamina). Margarito is physically superior to ANYONE Floyd has ever fought. I believe Margarito has a better chance than Hatton or Baldomir ever had. Still, I am not saying Margarito will win. Just that it will be a PHYSICAL test, the likes of which Floyd has NEVER experienced.

He certainly would have a better chance. But I only gave Baldomir and Hatton about a 5% chance of beating Floyd, so that's not really saying much. I'd give Margarito a 15% shot or so.
