I say Witter KO's Ricky and there are so many reasons why. First, Witter seems to want to get in the ring with Hatton while Hatton is showing reluctance. Thus, I sense Witter is the more confident of the two in the outcome. Second, Hatton is so easy to hit because he leads with his head. Combined with Witter's speed and power, I predict a devastating KO for Witter.

That's a ridiculously unfair comparison.

Magee failed to win the British, European and unsurprisingly never even fought for a "genuine" world title.

Hatton fought Magee in his 29th fight, it was the 7th defence of his (laughable) WBU title having 2 years previous been British champion.

Zab Judah was the unbeaten IBF "world" champion who was ALL the rage at the time of facing Witter.

Witter fought him on a weeks notice, had never been past 8 rounds and never even fought for a British title - let alone mixed in European or world class.

To make it perfectly clear - Hatton was the favourite over Magee. Witter was a HUMONGOUS underdog

Those fights were at similar times.

But If you'd like additional proof of this point, you can see Hatton dredge it out with wins over Urango, Tackie and Collazo.

Junior has looked shaky in himself every time he's not having things his own way.

I think Hatton is a terrific fighter.

Junior wouldnt get anywhere near to landing any kind of shots that would take ricky out, i suspect juniors sole plan to winning the fight would be to box hatton on the outside, frustrate ricky to the point where he starts to chase the fight and pick away at him on the counter.

Witters way too clever a boxer to understand he would have no chance just trading punches with ricky at arms length, hence the reason i believe the only way junior could beat ricky is through a points decision.

Anyone that makes the comparison between witter and mayweather is off their heads, floyd is quicker, more powerful and much more clever a boxer than witter would ever be or hope to be.

I agree with what your saying about Witter not being able to KO Hatton. He might be able to beat Hatton on points by outboxing him, which I doubt, but I would be shocked if he could stop Hatton.

Witter beat Harris, who was always overrated and he did look good doing it because he had all the time in the world to get his punches off. Ricky will not give him a quarter of the time to get his punches off and unless Ricky has continued to fade slightly, Witter gets a beating!

before the floyd fight people were talking about ricky in terms of being one of the P4P all time greats.

he gets beat once, moves to 43-1 and now all of a sudden theres questions over his chin, workrate, stamina even how he bulks up between fights.

Fact still remains that the guy is one of the best in the business, has fought and easily beaten fighters within witters class range and will do so again.

Yes im a massive hatton fan who loves seeing the bloke do well, but im also a keen boxing enthusiast who follows the 140+ divisions with a keen interest and hatton is still one of the all time best in the business!!

That "week" is one of the greatest myths in boxing.
When I first heard that story it was seven weeks.
Then Judah lost, the Witter fans got a little embarassed so it became 5 weeks.
Then a Hatton match became a focal point, it's speculated that Junior had 3 weeks to prepare.
Now it's become a week

Tell me this; before the fight did Junior and his trainer claim they were ready for the fight? or did they say; "well we only had a week to train so we're gonna get beat"

Furthermore, since Witter claims he's "a;ways in shape" for fights, as he did when lobbying to fight Hatton in May, should he not have been in shape anyway for the Judah fight?

You know as well as I do Fenster, that Hatton would never have got into the ring on anything shorter than 3 months notice, not only because of his lefestyle and his essential weight shedding training camps, but also because Warren was protecting him like a star and calculated every fighht he ever managed him in.

Jason Rowlands, who was set to face Judah, pulled out with about 9 days to go. Witter took the fight at short notice because of money. Simple as.
