It is probably a blessing as we would have got beat by the Spanish.

So then England isn't playing today? They had better hurry up and have a match or they will miss the entire tournament...

Most boring footballing tournament in a good few years (and thats not just because we aint there)

Apart from croatia-Germany and Holland-Italy the games have been either too predictable or lacking in any real excitement.

Thank the good lord i have lost season 2 on boxset to keep me busy!!

Holland,WOW. Beat the world cup finalists, scoring 7 against them and conceding one. They've had their luck but hey,who cares. Van Persie is the man

I hope it's a Netherlands-Portugal/Spain final. The 3 most exciting teams. Someone please please please knock out the Germans. Can't stand their efficient football, basically out muscling opponents.

some great goals by the Dutch, Robbens was a sweet one and the last one has to be a contender for goal of the tournment!
Hope Holland haven't peaked to early though, I wonder if they'll put out a half ass team against Romania, Im sure they'd be happy not to meet the French or Italians later on even if they did spank them

...I hope Torres doesn't do that anytime soon.

Kuyt really isn't THAT good....I'd rather them play Crouch more or even Voronin and yeah Voronin isn't a great player either but he creates chances for everyone else

yeah I think Torres is the real deal! As for Crouch I can't see him staying, I'd be freaked if i was him, plays well, gets goals, gets dropped

Yeah...I figured Crouch and Torres played better together than Torres and Kuyt. And for what they are paying Kuyt....I mean HOLY CRAP, if I was Crouch I would have BEEN gone a long time ago if that's the way it was going to be.

I think Babel would also as he progresses make a fairly good striker
