I can't help getting the feeling Fenech saw "Balboa" a few to many times at the movies?? Anyway, that's for the RBR... My friend who was taking me sold the tickets to someone at his work.. I was so pissed, I took a change of clothes to work and was expecting him to pick me up to go straight to the fight

Least they actually went at it and didn't make an embarrassment of a fight... Shame Nelson couldn't have won again.. Poor Fenech would have to go at it again in another 5 years

Azumah let him win because he knew it had been eating up Fenech his whole life. I just hope Azumah got paid good.

I don't think he let him win because he sure landed some heavy body shots on Fenech, it was a one off fight or at least i hope it was.
Both fighters threw some haymakers in there but after a decade out of the ring and at their age i thought they did pretty well. Nelson is 50 this year so it was a great effort by him to go the 10 rounds.

Fenech may have fought the last couple of rounds with a broken rib. Would explain all the dancing around....

On a more serious note really sad to see this fight go through.
There was really no need for this.

Don't be sad for the fighters. Fenech was said to donate his share of the takings (Approx $1M) to charity. Not sure what Nelson was doing with his but given the smile on his face at the end of the fight I suspect he's got his own plans for his share.

I dont mind fights like this, you cannot deny a man earning a living, as long as the fighters are whithin a few years of each other, the action may be slower but a great fighter is great because of his drive.

No matter how old a fighter gets he will still have the drive, against someone his own age at least.

Wasnt Larry Holmes 55 when he beat Butterbean over 10 rounds a few years ago?
