They seemed to have aged a fair bit and its sad I suppose but their 1st fight will always be the greatest ring war IMO . I doubt there will ever be another one to match it.
Yes i agree it funny how 2 fighters just gel and produce a true war.

On October 15, 1998 baseball announcer Jack Buck uttered his now famous phrase, “I don’t believe what I just saw!” having witnessed Kirk Gibson’s impossible homerun off Dennis Eckersley to beat the mighty Oakland As 5-4 in game 1 of the World Series. Fast forward 20 years and 60 miles east to the inauguration of the WBC Legends of Boxing Museum where stunned spectators gasped, “I don’t believe what I just saw!” having watched bitter rivals Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales embrace in a show of mutual respect.

WBC President Dr. Jose Sulaiman together with American Sports University Chairman Dr. Harry Hwang and San Bernardino Mayor Pat Morris opened the World Boxing Council Legends of Boxing Museum with a ribbon cutting celebration on Friday. An induction ceremony honoring boxing legends and lifelong contributors followed. Icons in attendance included Ken Norton, Gabriel Ruelas, Julio Gonzales, Oscar Muniz, Mando Ramos, Danny “Little Red” Lopez, Bobby Chacon, Rodolfo “El Gato” Gonzales, Manuel “Mantecas” Medina, Paul Banke, trainers Floyd Mayweather and Jeff Mayweather, manager Bennie Georgino, referee Gwen Adair, and promoter Ken Thompson.

Man, who knew getting punched in the face could make you look so old? Barrera still looks pretty good and truth be told, if you didn't know what he looked like before now, Morales doesn't look bad. But when you compare with your mental picture... still isn't bad as tubby-tub-tub Vargas.

Can't believe you said that, GAME. Soto is just a puncher; he's just an average when it comes to skill. C'mon GAME, your man can take Soto anytime, anywhere, and you can bet on that.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

It's good to see two legends bury their beef. I'm a huge fan of both these guys.

I still don't believe either is retired though.

Its not that I think Sotos good . Its that Im concerned as to what Barrera has left . He didnt show much in his last fight in terms of passion . He just went through the motions. If anything he will be worse vs Soto cuz he wont be as motivated .

Ofcourse Im gonna pick Barrera cuz I can never pick against him but I think if hes gonna comeback he needs to get his old fire back which has been absent since the 3rd Morales fight .
