Did a bit of sprinting a long time ago.

True Fenster, I mean the guy hadn't been knocked out in 2 years so despite Larry's faults a 1st round K.O is a pretty good result.

Ha ha ha, Tam, read this to yourself while looking at your profile pic

The guy looks like he has power for sure but he also does look tight and a tad slow, also he held after a couple of shots from the journeyman
The difference between Carl and larry is that Carl is on the brink of winning the title and larry has had 1 fight at pro and 15 at amatuer. Carl had a good amatuer career and has built himself to the position he is in now. But I hope your watching on 6th december because carl WILL be world champion.

Hard to make that judgement based on a one rounder but I see what you're saying.
If he fights stiff and nervous for a few rounds that would sap all of his energy pretty quickly. He trains very hard though and as Scrap said, he is very dedicated so if he doesn't last the distance it definitely won't be due to his lack of training.

Not sure what the holding was about after the shots from the journeyman..but I know a lot of these journeymen open up and throw lots of smothering shots whilst walking forward usually ending up in a clinch. Maybe it was a bit of both.

He definitely has a chin though, I've seen him and Terry Dunstan going all out in sparring and Larry hasn't even flinched. (which is why I'm chuckling at Daxx's 'no chin' comment because Terry Dunstan knocked Lennox out in sparring whilst serving as Lennox's sparring partner so he can definitely fling shots).

Hell, one training session it was me AND Terry Dunstan vs Larry and we pretty much beat the shit out of him for 4 rounds and he didn't even flinch. (Terry more than me ) Believe me the chin department is fine.

He'll really appreciate the constructive critcism though, he's very humble and I'm certain he'll work on his weaknesses. Very good points by all

Do you have tapes of you fighting?

In case anyone is interested - Larry had his second bout at York Hall this Saturday.

He stopped David Ingleby (some may remember him from the TV show Prizefighter). It was a good victory again because Ingleby hadn't been knocked out in 2 and a half years and was riding high after a K.O victory of another prospect.

Was a good fight with Larry going 100mph straight from the bell. Ingleby covered up well and took Larrys shots. When Larrys workrate decreased he gave Larry some shots back.

Larry calmed down in the 2nd round and scored with a beautiful counter right hand to K.O Ingleby coming in.

Olubamiwo still needs to relax and work on some defence but a good victory!

If you're not interested - ignore this

P.S. Taeth, only just saw your question. I have a few from when I first started..Like my first 4 sparring sessions so I'm pretty shitty in them lol. I havn't boxed for 6 months. Gave it up to follow other priorities. If I was to box it would have been at welter or light welter. I weighed 147 in my avatar
