Well Danny is going to quit smoking for me for Christmas, which is the best gift he could ever give me.
That's all I need for Christmas.
I dont even know what christmas is anymore. There are a few things I want but Im not going to get anything. In fact, my christmas day will involve me sitting down and trying to get kick started with my essay.
No family and no friends around me. And my Mrs is going to see her sister who will apparently give birth tomorrow.
But its not all bad news. Im going to Hong Kong next week!!! Never been there before. Perhaps that could be classed as something I want. But then Ive got to pay for it all.![]()

And thats what I'm getting as well![]()

one dangerous horrible bloke
It's a nice thought, but I hope he promised to give it his best shot, rather than promise to quit.
Danny: If at first you do not succeed, try try again. And keep on trying. Don't beat yourself up. May I suggest that you might need some kind of substitute. Food, booze, cofffee. whatever. In large quantities. Ive been there. I'm a 25 year smoker who has for all intents and purposes quit for about a year and a half. And now trying to lose a resulting significant weight gain.
Well little over a year ago he quit cold turkey, and did great for about 6 months, when some family members visited him for a bit, and they were smokers, and he started up again.
So I know it will be tough for him, but I also know that he can do anything that he puts his mind to. I know he might slip here and there, but I know that he really does want to quit, and saying that he's doing it for me, adds extra incentive.![]()
OH NO! I'm gonna throw up!
Dude I could imagine how excited you are. My family always used to do these huge Christmas parties but ALL the families moved to different parts of the country. It's been 3 years since our last ENTIRE family Christmas party and it's never been the same...
Its unbelievable bud.I will NEVER allow time to skirt by and not be with family on Christmas again. All of us are scattered across the country but it all worked out this year.Seeing that look on the Fams face is pricless and worth everything I have in this world.Going through the decorations we had when we were small, just unbelievable.NEVER again depriving the Folks of that feeling,as well as myself!!!We are not guarenteed time or even the morning in life, make the most when you can.Have agreat holiday C-Lo.
Bin Laden's lifeless body on CNN news.
What's up Biatchez.
I had my Christmas gift opening already, as we do it the old school French Canadian way...at the stroke of midnight on the eve or until people tire of "Can we open them now?' "Can we open them now?"
And the good news is...no one tried to force us to go to midnight mass, and I suspect Fr. McGropalot will miss our smiling faces there. But such is life in the big city, and so another holiday season will come and go.
I am sitting here now...got a friend beside me...he's drunk and threw up on his shoes earlier. Let's wish him a merry Christmas too, and ofc a Happy New Year. He opens his gifts in the morning...so with any luck, foot wear will be a part of the deal around his tree.
And so another night of magic and yearly ritual comes to pass. Somewhere choirs are singing. Somewhere people are lighting candles...and somewhere else is a person robbing a 7/11 with a screw driver for that last 8 ball. And lalala and life goes on...
So might I add and finish with. Peace be with you. And also with you.
