    Pacquiao would pick Valero apart.

    Easy win for the Pacman.

Khan is an unknown himself. He is nothing at this point, he is not an awesome fighter and definitely has not proved to be anything else. Pacman on the other hand is an awesome fighter. He has more skill in his left hand then Khan has in his entire body. Comparing Khan to pacman is like comparing apples to bananas.
You are so presumptious with your analysis. Are you in any way connected to Bob Arum?Or any bigtime promoter for that matter? Please dont get me wrong,i really think youre a boxing guru.
Mate have you seen valero fight? Hes not the most defensive minded boxer of all time. Hes all offence, did you see what happened to ricky hatton who tried just offence. You dont beat pac by standing back and exchanging bombs because pacman is going to hit you first and hit you hard. Valero is wide open and would be picked off easily. From what i judged from his last fight, he stands up too straight which pacs left hand would love and is quite wild which would leave so many nice openings for a lightning fast right hook from pacman. This is coming from someone who doesnt mind pac but isnt his biggest fan, i just generally think send valero against pac coz he has power is like sending a bull against a crocodile coz the bull can hit hard...wat else does it have to help its chances?

yep wakee salud the same guy who screwed pac over money! lucky him pac didnt sue him at all.

back then when valero pac was a buzz i posted here in saddo that anyone has a punchers chance. it only takes one clean punch and the fight is over. valero should work his way to the top first b4 he deserves the right to fight pac.

pac beating valero wont add points to his legacy if he beats valero everyone will say well he beat a nobody, losing to valero wont harm pacs legacy too. so what will pac, boxing and us get out from this fight?

I have closed this thread and let time decide who among us here posts what is credible. But since you continue to qoute and post here,i deem it necessary to post back.

First i would like to clarify ,at what instance did Wakee Salud touched Manny's cash surreptiously as you alleged?Maybe you are referring to some other personality.I have never known Wakee to be that smalltime as you picture him here.

And here is the latest about VALERO...

WBC lightweight champion Edwin Valero (25-0, 25KOs) says that a fight with Manny Pacquiao is a lock to happen in the future. As part of his deal to sign a promotional contract with Top Rank, Valero was guaranteed a crack at Pacquiao down the line and says the only way the fight won't happen is if Pacquiao retires.

"My fight with Manny Pacquiao is signed. It was one of the conditions that I gave to my manager, Jose Castillo, for me to sign with Bob Arum. This is something that he has not revealed to the press because the fight is not mandatory, in case Pacquiao walks away. But that is the only way to avoid the fight, if he leaves boxing. So I am relaxed and working to build my name for my opportunity. It was something was spoken about with Pacquiao and he said yes. That was in January," Valero said to SNOV.

Valero says that he will put up a much better fight than Ricky Hatton, who was stopped by Pacquiao in two rounds last Saturday in Las Vegas.

"For now I imagine that they are going to fight the winner of Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez, but none of those fighters have the power to surpass his defense. II would be able to offer a much better fight than the one Hatton did. I only hope that Pacquiao gives me the opportunity. I would have no problem in moving up in weight to fight him," Valero said.

Valero is scheduled to return on July 25 in Mexico. His rumored opponent is Breidis Prescott, but he would rather face Joel Casamayor or Juan Diaz.

"World Boxing Council president Jose Sulaiman yesterday urged Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao to fight for a belt and not let no one, whose only interest is to earn money, surrounds him. Sulaiman did not say though who is or are manipulating Pacquiao.”

OBVIOUSLY,WAKEE SALUD IS THE CULPRIT HERE.HE IS THE CLOSE FRIEND AND ILL-ADVISER OF PACMAN.HE DO NOT WANT PACMAN TO FIGHT FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP LIKE WHAT HE DID TO HIS WARDS BECAUSE A PURSE CUT REQUIRED IN A CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT IS A CUT TO HIS MANAGER'S SHARE.

WAKEE SALUD HAS NOT PRODUCED A WORLD CHAMPION FOR MANY YEARS NOW. HERE ARE HIS MANY WRONGDOINGS IN BOXING WORLD:

1.)ONLY LAST 2003 WHEN PACMAN LAST HELD A LEGITIMATE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND ONLY HOLD NOW THE WBC INTERNATIONAL BELT.A WBC INTERNATIONAL FIGHT REQUIRES NO PURSE UNLIKE A LEGITIMATE BOXING CROWN CROWN THAT IS WHY HE PREFERRED PACMAN NOT TO FIGHT FOR IT SO THAT WAKEE WILL STILL GET HIS HUGE MANAGER' SHARE.

2.) WAKEE WILL SPOIL PACMAN FIGHT AGAINST JUAN DIAZ BECAUSE JUAN DIAZ IS THE CURRENT WBA-IBF-WBO CHAMPION AND FIGHTING AGAINST HIM, THESE THERE WORLD BOXING BODIES(WBA,IBF,WBO) WILL REQUIRE THEIR SHARES.IMAGINE THEN HOW MUCH WILL BE LEFT FOR THE MANAGER'S SHARE OF WAKEE SALUD!

3.)HE ARRANGED A FIGHT OF GEJON AGAINST A TOUGH AND UNDEFEATED TEKKEIN PROMOTION OF JAPAN BOXER TO ENRICH HIS JAPANESE CONNECTION KNOWING THAT GEJON JUST FOUGHT AFTER A MONTH AND ILL PREPARED FOR THE FIGHT.HE IS FEEDING HIS WARDS TO THE LION'S JUST TO GET HIS MANAGER'S SHARE.

4.)HE PREVENTED JIMREX JACA TO FIGHT AGAINST MARQUEZ FOR THE WBO CHAMPIONSHIP BECAUSE IT WILL AFFECT HIS MANAGER'S SHARE,HOWEVER,JACA PERSISTED AND FOUGHT AGAINST MARQUEZ ALTHOUGH LOST,BUT STILL MADE SALUD UNHAPPY BECAUSE HE GOT LESSER SHARE ON THAT CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT.

5.)HE LET HIS BOXERS LIE AROY, A.SUICO,SOLLANO FIGHT IN AFRICA,WHO ALL LOST AS EXPECTED, TO ENRICH HIS AFRICAN CONNECTION WHERE AFRICAN BOXERS FIGHT OUR BOXERS TO PAD THEIR RECORDS AND WHILE THE VERDICT IS PREDETERMINED ALREADY BECAUSE OF POPULAR HOMETOWN DECISION IN AFRICA,HIS MANAGER'S SHARE ALSO IS ASSURED.

6.) HE LET HIS BOXERS FIGHT ONLY FOR THE REGIONAL BELTS LIKE LUNAS,OPBF BANTAM TITLE HOLDER AND SANTILLAN,THE OPBF WELTER KING,BECAUSE THERE IS NO PURSE REQUIRED IN FIGHTING FOR THE REGIONAL BELT.IT PREVENTED THEM TO BECOME WORLD CHAMPIONS WHEN THEY HAVE THE POTENTIALS AND SKILLS.

7.) HE WAS ACCUSED TO BE BEHIND THE INACTIVITY OF MALCOLM TUÑACAO,THE FORMER WBC CHAMPION.TUÑACAO LAST FOUGHT AGAINST LUNAS,WAKEE SALUD'S WARD FORTHE OPBF BANTAM TITLE AND AFTER THAT TUÑACAO WAS NO LONGER ACTIVE IN BOXING.IT WAS PERCEIVED THAT TUÑACAO WAS A THREAT TO HIS BOXERS.TUÑACAO ALSO LONG REIGNED AS THE OPBF CHAMP AND DEFENDED IT MANY TIMES IN JAPAN.NOW LUNAS IS FEEDING ON PATSY JAPANESE BOXERS.

The above are all allegations IMO.These were never proven.

Anyway,Valero is now 4th on the short list of PACMAN'S next opponent.Just one stroke of magic and.....lol btw venue is gearing towards MACAU.

I don't think this fight would ever happen. Pacquiao is only going to be involved in superfights for the rest of his career (which he won't be in for that much longer). Fights with Mayweather, Cotto, Mosley, Marquez are the only fights I see Pacquiao taking before he calls it quits.

Valero would have to beat A LOT of names within a short period of time to gain any sort of chance to get a Manny fight. Looking at his history of opponents, he's got a lot of ground to make up. Plus, I think he'll get exposed along the way, which is why I personally don't think this will ever happen.

    The same situation,the same questions....

Pacman had way more quality oppenent than Valero before Pac fought Marco the first time. This is why Marco had to fight him. Did you think Marco was Pacs first U.S fight or first quality oppenent? Pac was making a name for himself here at the states thats why he got the Marco fight. Plus Marco had little choice to fight, nobody wanted to fight JMM at the time and a third Eric fight was the only big fight for marco at the time. Compare it to Pac situation now, Pac has so much options; Cotto,Mosley, Floyd, JMM all huge fights. Valero is not a big fight for Pac, Soto has a better chance of being a Pac tune up fight than Valero. Theres more story to sale with Soto then there is with Valero. However I doubt pac will take any tune up matches, he only gets big fights now. Do you get the point yet?

You made me smirk with your last question sentence......All you posters here just keep on saying quality that,no defense, not marketable,no fan base...etc etc...All these are crap to me mainly because i knew for a fact that Arum was delivering the contract to PACMAN for him to fight VALERO in MACAU,TWO YEARS AGO OR SO.

That is why this thread is for Arum to give the chance to the poor boxer that he used before as a chesspone to get to manage MANNY...

Nahhhh.....i am just wondering if the fight happened 2 years ago...who could have won.And why Arum was dangling that fight right on PACMAN'S TURF.

Sports Valero says he has right to fight Pacquiao
    Updated May 08, 2009 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines - Venezuelan lightweight champ and knockout artist Edwin Valero pressed his bid for a crack at Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, saying his promotional pact with Top Rank guarantees a showdown with the world’s pound-for-pound king.

The WBC lightweight champion, unbeaten in 25 fights, also claimed that Pacquiao had previously assured him of a matchup in the future, according to BoxingScene.com.

“My fight with Manny Pacquiao is signed. It was one of the conditions that I gave to my manager, Jose Castillo, for me to sign with Bob Arum (Top Rank),” Boxing Scene’s Mark Vester, quoting Valero’s statement from SNOV, said.

Valero’ s name has not been mentioned among those being groomed as Pacquiao’s next foe after the latter demolished British hero Ricky Hatton in two rounds to claim the IBO light-welterweight crown last weekend. Aside from former pound-for-pound champion Mayweather and old rival Marquez, the Pacquiao camp is eyeing Miguel Cotto in a 147-lb showdown.

Valero insisted that the only way Pacquiao could walk away from their clash would be to retire.

“This is something that he (Arum) has not revealed to the press because the fight is not mandatory, in case Pacquiao walks away. But that is the only way to avoid the fight, if he leaves boxing. So I am relaxed and working to build my name for my opportunity. It was something that was spoken about with Pacquiao and he said yes. That was in January,” Valero said.

Valero, one of Pacquiao’s guests during his 30th birthday bash in General Santos City, said only he can give the Filipino champion a run for his money when it comes to power - not Ricky Hatton, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. or Juan Manuel Marquez.

“For now I imagine that they are going to fight the winner of Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez, but none of those fighters have the power to surpass his defense. I would be able to offer a much better fight than the one Hatton did. I only hope that Pacquiao gives me the opportunity. I would have no problem in moving up in weight (light-welterweight) to fight him,” Valero said.
Nonito Donaire will soon be a name to reckon with...
