I felt Pacquiao won the first fight and Marquez won the second fight.
I felt Pacquiao won the first fight and Marquez won the second fight.
Taeth's trying to be racistIts good to have goals.
He wasn't even referring to you as far as I know, he was talking about GeneralBulldog's thread about how European fighters are overrated.
This is an arguement I always get into with my brother besides Mike Tyson being the greatest before Don King. I say Maquez won both fight's,making Pac look like an amatuer by throwing and missing a ton of punches. It seems all Pacquiao fans point to the knockdowns ok well what about the rounds were Pac couldn't land more than 10 punches in a round. Anyway I always thought it was funny that the judges from the first fight thought Marquez won the second fight and vice versa. Just amusing that's all. MARQUEZ all the way.
ok seriously have you guys ever wonder what if freddy roach was with pac his whole career.
JMM and other great fighters have been with their respected trainiers their whole career. Pac just began with roach during his first wars with the marco, jmm, eric. Just a thought....
Me, hacker??
I already posted this on page 1 of this thread:
Converting 3 official losses to wins is a bit of a stretch eventhough those fights were close fights... I'm aware of this issue since I've read JMM claiming all his losses were robberies...
What this thing will tell us is, JMM most likely will lose a decision in a close fight... JMM's style is not judge friendly... Judges will not favor his counterpunching style against the one with more aggressive style of boxing... Better for JMM to really dominate or KO his opponent just like what he had done lately... With that said, I predict JMM will NOT win via decision over PBF (even if the 2 has similar styles, PBF just the more accurate counterpuncher)... He needs to KO/TKO the bigger PBF in order to get a victory...

and here's the answer, people would have never been shocked by the drastic change in his fighting style and been so thrown off by it finding it so hard to adapt, they'd already know what to expect unlike now that he just keeps adding more to his game, so honestly i doubt he would of been undefeated by any means
First fight definitely, second fight they landed pretty much evenly, and though Marquez was a little bit better with technique and timing, Pacquiao evened it up with his physical gifts. I don't think anyone would argue that either guy could not win on any given night, I just say that in that fight that happened Pacquiao clearly won more fights.
Because half of the people in latin america have spanish decent, if you look back to Spain coming over, only a very slight part of the mexican people are still fully Aztec or Mayan. I didn't mean for this to be a racist thing, I just saw prodominantly spanish people toute Marquez won, I guess I was wrong.
ICB, which rounds did you give to Marquez exactly?
yup gotta go with Taeth on this one, i get what he's trying to say on the bold bit is that most of the population in what are now latin american countries are spanish influenced due to the conquistador's and such, Puerto Rico in specific derives mainly of 3 cultures, Taino, African, and Spanish, and Mexico can't forget that most of the original Aztec or Mayan people were whiped out by illness, mainly the small pox, same as the Taino's here in PR, and well like in pretty much every country in the world, there is no such thing as a PURE race, but yea i disagree with the mainly latinos believing Marquez won bit, that's like saying mainly only Filipino's believe that Pacquiao won, i think there is a good mix of nationalities that believe Marquez won
Mayweather is black. Brian Kenny is white. Both had Marquez winning
