Im quite suprised so far Big bad John looks like he has trained hard, I thought he would freeze like he usually does, but Im impressed, but as I have said Fury for a big man has shite power and likes cakes just as much as big bad John!!

Jim Watt has just said Fury could still be the future.

If Fury wins by decision I'll be pissed, just looking at boxrec I picked Fury by decision in the prediction contest but then read all these posts by Fenster and others in a thread on the British board saying how it would be a one round job, etc, and changed my pick to a KO.

Sounds like the UK has it's own Glen Johnson.

That sucks, I guess it's just a matter of time until we see Tyson Fury vs. Tye Fields

Oh what a load of shit, I had it Fury by decision.

Oh yeah and I'm outraged by the decision too Corruption, these people need to be held accountable, I'll never watch another fight, and so on.

I think some people should watch this fight with the sound off.

I have never heard a commentary so biased towards a channels fighter (I think we can safely assume Hennesey isn't going to Sky)

If you take Sky's scorecard and the ref's scorecard then you will find the actual result somewhere in the middle.

I'm not suprised that the ref scored the fight to Fury, I can't for the life of me see how he can do two jobs; Fury threw twice as many punches.

McDermott my very well have won (I wasn't keeping score) but this fight was a lot closer that Sky would have you believe.

I disagree totaally mate, Jim Watt couldnt get his tongue any further up Furys bumhole, look at the stats Mcdermott landed more shots better percentage the harder/cleaner shots, David Haye had him winning by 4 rounds who was ringside, the guys in the studio had him winning the fight. I dont take any notice of Jim Watt he is a nob jockey, i watch the fight and it was a robbery plain and simple imo. Also Fury's team told him he needs a ko in the final round they new he was behind well everyone else except the ref.

Also just reading another report after the ninth round on the betting exchanges the odds were as follows:

    John Mcdermott 1/18

    Tyson Fury 12/1

Jim Watt still had him losing though and Sky are now Haye's paymasters.

My main point is really about refs scoring; and it really is an impossible job. If someone throws twice as many punches, even if they aren't all clean then if you'e in the middle trying to ref the fight (and it was a busy night due to all the clinching etc.) it's got to have an impression on you.

As I said I wasn't keeping score, although I know which rounds I as disagreeing with Watt. Mcdermott was certainly leading going with two rounds to go and Fury won those last two.

It was a lot closer than people are making out.

I can see how Fury won the fight McDermott went for a headbutt at the end of round 2 he spat the gumshield out twice he held in a obvious way where even the ref said well pull your arms out then and he turned his back twice in round 12. Also Fury threw over 100 more punches than McDermott so perhaps looked busier to the ref and yes McDermott got some big shots off but he still fought in that mardy negative way and the corner having to gee him up all the time he should retire if you ask me once he gets in a competetive fight he just don't want to be their. But i did think 98-92 was wide
