Scharfer wants to make Khan Katsidis in July

Ok Khan is quick offensively but not defensively. I think possibly Kats takes a bit of a beating....until he sparks Khan. I think Khan has the potential to be Kats version of Zab Judah, look good starting out and then getting sparked by the first big punch that lands.

Khan will not be fighting the Kat! Not a chance. Way too much risk for very little reward.

Look at all of Khans fights since his loss, all have a very good reason for taking them and all of them had very little risk. Khan is a man with a plan and isn't stupid.

Katsidis would want a ton of dough to srop his WBO interim slot and move up in weight to fight a bigger faster guy. If it's going to be in England in July much easier to make the Prescott fight, it would sell out an arena and Khan Promotions would only have to pay him buttons compared to a Katsidis purse. The telly would want it too.

Apart from the hardcore Khan critics on this forum who insist he must avenge this loss I really think most would rather see Khan take on Katsidis.

It's a great fight, Katsidis is 2-0 against British fighters and has already twice fought on HBO. He's a big name and the average fightfan would much rather see Khan vs Kats I imagine.

I actually think Katsidis will be back in the UK soon regardless. If he doesn't fight Amir then John Murray must be an attractive opportunity.

I reckon Kats probably makes more far money fighting overseas than he does in Towoomba which is why he is is always fighting either over her or in the US.

I can see him fighting Khan or Murray before the year is out.

I agree most people would rather see Khan vs. Katsidis but I don't see it being an easy fight to make and neither guy is going to want a fight like that with six weeks to prepare. I don't think Khan will fight somebody like Katsidis or Maidana at such short notice. Prescott would be cheap, a much easier fight and would sell a lot of tickets to Khan bandwagon fans due to their previous fight. Could be wrong though.

This is a tough call for me. Khan has some pop and speed... He is a technically well schooled fighter as well... Then you have Katsidis who applies hellacious presure and punches nonstop. That'd be alot for Khan to deal with and it's tough to keep Katsidis at the end of a jab. Khan can bang, though.

I think there's a good chance of either getting KOd but if Khan can weather the early storm I would favor him.

It would be an interesting fight, for sure.

Kats would eat a lot of shots on the way in but eventually he will land and then we will see how Khans chin holds up! Katsidis 8th round KO.
