Hmmm. No. She is maybe slightly slutty?
She was like 14 in the books originally, something like that. They moved it up to 16 or 17 or so and I assume that's because its not kosher to have a 14 year old girl get fucked on TV. Its not porn but there were two sex scenes in the first episode and she was naked and I assume that's not the last time you'll see her naked.
I haven't read the first book in ages but I assume the next episode will be a bit slower. As in no kids will be thrown out of windows. I did check the book and the first episode covered about 80 pages or so which is a good pace, its around an 800 page book and there are 10 episodes. Obviously some things were left out and there's far more background info about the characters in the book but they did a good job IMO.
The scale of the wall was especially good IMO. You'll see more of it in the next episode I'm sure.
I loved it, thought it had the makings of an epic.
And that girl is just beautiful. I'm really hoping that chief savage passes her around his tribe like her brother threatened. Horses would be cool too.
Really I'd quite like them to take a break from progressing the story and just concentrate on some serious Daenerys porn.
NVM, found it on Demonoid.

Basically its about the political life of this place while there are two main external threats, the "Others" (and for some reason I never noticed before that Lost stole the name "The Others", they don't refer to them as that in the show, mainly the White Walkers, but in the books they're called the others or the white walkers) and Dany and her brother. You'll just have to see how important the others are, its a bit of a spoiler and I'm trying to avoid that. Bilbo, read the books so I can talk about this with somebody else. There are a ton of spoilers.
My only main spoiler is: people will die. I already said that, so its not much of a spoiler.
the more I think about it, Lost stole a lot from this. Not the subject matter obviously, but some things. The main guys behind Lost have said they're huge fans. And George Martin was a fan of Lost although he has said that he's worried about "pulling a Lost" as far as fucking up the ending.

There are some "fantasy" moments, the "Others" and other stuff that I'm not going to go into into, but its not as magic heavy as the Lord of the Rings, its more a medieval story with "fantasy" elements.
I'm definitely going to start reading Ouma.
Also, I even loved the intro credits, with the map of the place showing Winterfelll, then going south to King's Landing etc and the other main places.
They totally turned that into like a big RPG/Strategy game map for me, which got me really into it, as I too am a huge geek in that regard.
Second episode was really great. Starting to get to know the characters now.
Another great episode. My two fave characters from the first episode were John Snow, the Bastard and the dwarf, so great to see them going off together. They are easily the two most likeable characters I think. The dwarf looks uncannily like a pint sized Dexter Morgan to me which is a bit weird though.
I was thrilled to see that lucsious Dany deciding to take fucking lessons from a whore, that will hopefully pay off in future episodes.
The wolves are really odd though. Are they on some kind of growth hormones? Every scene they have got about 6 months older and now they full grown beasts. How much time is supposed to have past since they got them?
In all a great show though, intriguing, sexy, cruel. That little prince is a right cunt, hope he dies brutally, along witht that slag queen.
Her brother just looks exactly like a dragon slaying knight from a fairy tale, or Dirk the Daring from Dragons Lair. Great casting.
Did I mention that Dany is hot? I think I did.
That was fantastic. Even better than the first episode IMO which surprised me a bit.
Cersei sucks but I'm really liking the woman who plays her. She's got it down. The kind of calm, almost bored evil. And yes Joff sucks. I'm not going to go too much into it cause I'm always worried about giving stuff away to the rest of you who haven't read the books but in general characters in this series aren't always completely good or evil (Catelyn is the mother of the "good" family and so you'd think she's just a sweetheart, but she's a real bitch to Jon Snow. They didn't even go into it all with that scene where Jon comes to say goodbye to Bran but she even says something like "I wish it had been you", which I'm glad they left out cause it was cliched as fuck and one of the more disappointing parts of the first book IMO.) but Joff sucks. A real shit.
The wolves are a bit of an inconsistency but to be fair Martin never really talks about how big they were when they got them, how big they were when Bran's kills the attacker, etc. But my recollection from the book is that not too much time passed between when they found them and when Bran's wolf kills the dude. I've heard they're having some problems with them. Namely that they're supposed to be big eventually. Not horse big, but not like other wolves so their could be some CGI elements.
I loved the scene where Tyrion slaps Joff and then comes to the breakfast table and talks with Jaime and Cersei. I loved it in the book and I loved it in the show. And while they didn't recount the whole conversation I'm fairly certain what they did show was word for word. Tyrion is literally one of my favorite characters in fiction. Ever. I'm not totally sure why Peter Dinklage is using some quasi-English accent but it doesn't matter, he's played him well.
I never even imagined these books being turned into some sort of show. Mainly because I didn't think about it being a TV series, and there is literally no way to do it as a movie and do it justice. But this is awesome, and it had to be done on HBO or something like that for the sake of the violence, nudity, etc.
I've decided to do a re-read and I rarely ever read books more than once. Partly because of the show piquing my interest again and partly because the fifth book is supposedly FINALLY coming out relatively soon and I've forgotten so much.

This show is so good that I have already watched both episodes so far twice already.
It's great not having a clue what is going to happen. I think I'll start reading the books this week but make sure I only read up to the previous episode so I go into each episode without any spoilers.
Does the book series span many years? Like I'm really hoping that Chloe Moretz kick ass type girl grows up to be some kind of female assassin and chops of that evil prince kid's knackers off and sticks his ballbags to his chin whilst her annoying older sister screams beside him.
