his face is too broke to fight again? that`s a shame.

Mate I dont care whether is oscar, tyson, JMM, Morales, Pac or Kid Thunder...if you wrap your hands in an illegal manner than it is ILLEGAL !!!! Its obviousy done for a reason and I think in titos case it was done so their was more over the knuckles than what there is supposed to be.
I dont get how no one gets my point - Your basically cheering for a fighter to be hurt for the rest of his life....when even he didnt do that to anyone. By the way we dont know whether he used them in the cotto fight and thats coz cottos corner was too stupid to watch him get his hands wrapped which is common practice in my book. Mosley avoided it so Cottos corner has no excuse for not picking up such a massive error on the world stage.
Bottom line margarito should of been banned for life for what he did. I would of been happy if that beating put him into retirement because he realised he was no longer effective without illegal wraps....not because hes too hurt to keep fighting.
First off....i never said Titos was worse than what margarito did, theres no doubt that what Margarito did was waaaaay worse by around 100 times. But im just stating a fact, that its an illegal wrap that is designed to make the boxer punch harder yet no one seems to care about it.
Yes but not earning another nickel because hes injured from a fight is still pretty bad. Your eye is a vital part of your body and to have it damaged to a point where it may not recover is quite serious and it affects alot of things in every day life.
I didnt say its not cheating, im just saying its hard to complain when they had the opportunity to stop it.
Obvisouly my opinion is unpopular but I dont really care. To me this is pretty much pick and choose. Nigel Benn basically rabbit punched McClellan into a coma, Mike Tyson bit Holyfields ear and tried to break a guys arm, Castillo came in blatantly overweight against chico in the second fight which made it a mismatch, Tito wrapped his hands illegally for yrs yet no one wished that these guys never fought again. These were all things done knowinly that could cause extra damage to an opponent that were all illegal.
But anyway this is my last post in this thread because I know im just going to be told im dramatising it and that people just dont give a fuck.
Damn. How in the world could one fighter inflict such brutal punishment on another guy over the distance as a result of repeatedly punching him in the face. Simply amazing
If there is any doubt on being 100% he should def get out...and someone watch Arum so he doesn't prop up a half blind mega payday of a name.
once again bringing up Trinidad, do you not get the point that his wraps are ONLY ILLEGAL IN NY, so therefore his wraps were LEGAL IN VEGAS where most of his fights took place, meaning that his name and Margarito's don't belong anywhere close to each other
you're just clutching at straws bro, Margarito used illegal wraps that could have cause any of his opponents permanent damage, he was given only a slap on the wrist and rewarded with a multi million dollar payday, only to have his ass handed to him and possibly retired for good
if anything this whole ordeal just puts and exclamation point on to how fucked up what Margarito tried to do was, if Manny Pacquiao was able to end a man's career legally with no plaster imagine what the cheating fucker Margarito could have done to any other guy he might have cheated against
the stupid shit is going to be able to live out a normal life, he's made millions even after cheating, so not really hard to feel too sorry for the bastard, now he can just get out of boxing altogether and not have to be heard of again
I'm not one for karma or any such imaginary concepts, but the fact that Margarito is potentially out of a career due to a facial injury after being banned for attempting to load his gloves is kind of ironic. I don't really care either way if Margarito continues or not, but he has been extremely fortunate to recieve a massive payday against Manny. He didn't deserve that fight, so what more could he have asked for. Might as well invest prudently and then sail into the sunset.
As things stand that Pac fight should really have been stopped much earlier. I don't know why the ref didn't do so. The respionsibility lies with him. "How many fingers?" he asks while the one good eye is free to count them. Sigh.![]()
The fight with Pac Man was brilliant and he made him fight every second of that fight. Pac did damage that eye socket very badly and I was thinking he needed more time to recover.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Ballsey! Robert Garcia blurted out, pseudo praising his now turned grotesque fighter, Antonio Margarito, as the Mexican junior middleweight fighter grabs a seat, quite unsure of his whereabouts.
From the looks... likewise unsure where to even land his tired self, beaten to a pulp but somehow still eliciting a continued praise as if he is the one administering the ass-kicking!
Given a few more precious seconds, catching his wits, out of the 45-second respite in between rounds, he begins to ponder, only this time, he was unsure of a more important matter...will there be tomorrow, still?
Ahead before him and his, after this terrible beating, what lies ahead...
In the background, under a tone of encouragement, he still faintly hears how remarkable the courage he is displaying. ....Deep inside though, he feels quite the opposite, he was scared shitless! Not borne out of immediacy, but for much later... what will become of all this!
Under his breath, words that never found a voice, "please, Robert, stop this beating, I've already had enough". He looks around pleadingly, to the referee, and to his corner. No reprieve. Repeats the lookout a few more... till the bell rang signifying the need for readiness to a further beating!
