He's a British heavyweight with a shot at unifying the titles....you guys get so few of those and obviously your media eats all his shit talking up. But what else would one expect from a nation that has spawned so many chavs?

Wlad's a nice guy, well educated, and routinely draws 50,000 to 60,000 people to his fights...anyone else (bar Pacquiao) doing that?

I'll say one thing for Brit boxing fans, they get behind and/or support their fighters, and unlike us Americans, they're got a HW they can shout about.

I'm not even sure that right now, that i'm a big fan of any America fighter, nearly all the pugs I like to watch are from other countries.

Peter was quite feared at the time, but of all his opponents, Haye is probably the most accomplished. Not Wlad's fault, you can only beat what is in front of you & he has.

You don't see the irony that the only guy you can get behind is a khazak?

AdamGB, nationality has its place...I love to see people from my country do well The Dream Team, the 1980 US Hockey Team, the US Soccer Team, the US in the Olympics. But in professional sports it simply doesn't mean as much to me right now. Perhaps the reason is that Floyd Mayweather Jr. enjoys playing the villain too much, RJJ is way past it, and so on.

Right now I don't know if I see an American boxer that I say "He represents this country"....in England all your fighters on a world class level seem to have the backing of their countrymen, its nice, but it also makes you open to being gullible as most Americans were (myself included) with Calzaghe-Lacy.

I like Miguel Cotto he's Puerto Rican...that's quasi-American. I like Tavoris Cloud and Chad Dawson but I don't think either truly represents the country.

God this really demonstrates how bad the division is doesn't it?

I suppose it probably is Sam Peter.

But then again, is there anyone Wlad hasn't fought?

Nah, he's dominated the whole division... I'm just looking for that big fight.

I don't think there is one. But that's everyone else's fault, not Wlad's right?

If Helenius gets a win over a top ranked fighter he's due a shot and that's a good fight. Cris Arreola is looking better than ever right now and if he continues he'd make a good fight vs Wlad. Boytsov is a bit small to stir up much trouble...Dimitrenko may soon be on the radar. As for Povetkin, I swear they need to put him on milk cartons, where the fuck has he been and what has he been doing?

What Wlad is missing is that guy that everyone thinks can beat him...some people will say its this upcoming fight, I don't know, we'll see.

Povetkin will wind up fighting Chagaev for the regular WBA once Wlad or David become their Super Champion.
