Default Honesty Thread - Tell us one bad trait of your favourite fighter

I got the idea for this thread from hearing either "youre a fanboy" or "youre a hater" when certain arguments are made. Sometimes its justified sometimes not.

soooo..be honest. Show your objectivity and tell us one negative of your fave fighter..

    i'llstart..Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Icalled it a "bitch move" when he turned up 2lbs overweight when he came in against JMM. I still stand by that. Very unprofessional. I also hate his behaviour sometimes. Burning money in clubs? wtf? and talking to 50 cent through a wad of money?? its too forced and fake.

Eubank was my fave growing up. He had a few questionable decisions and didnt fight the opposition that Benn did..but he's still the fuckin man!!!!

    ok your turn..

OK, I'll go through my favorites....

Wladimir Klitschko - at times he's too deliberate, too calculating when he needs to just let the punches fly.

Miguel Cotto - He's too good of a boxer to allow himself to be in so many brawls.

Andy Lee - He's stiff and he gets hit too easy

Peter Quillin - He's too tight, he needs to loosen the delivery of his punches and his handspeed will improve.

Nigel Benn = cheated on his Mrs constantly

Mr Eubank = cheated us fans on not fighting stella opposition

Scott Harrison = waste of tallent

Duran = for going on the piss and not training properly for the 2nd Sugar Ray fight

Khon = for being a total numty out of the ring

Hatton = for not keeping the weight off and pissing it up between fights

Tyson - insecure, thieving criminal, rapist, child molester, coward, cannibal, wasted talent/greatness by chasing too much pussy.

Haha I don't know if I'm gonna allow that one! It's like going to a job interview and when they ask you "So, if there was one thing you'd say you weren't so good at, what would it be?" and you reply with "Well..sometimes I find myself working TOO hard!"

    That's a positive-negative

but yeah I see what you're saying. Marquez is one of my faves and I have a hard time thinking of anything negative about him..Oh yeah, he once drank his own urine. That's good enough.

And Master..Tyson is an easy one!!

Dean Duke..I don't know if you can call Amir Khan one of your faves if you call him "Amir Khon"??

Come on Pacquiao and Joe Calzaghe fans...come out to play

Here's another former favourite of mine : Fernando Vargas

I kinda liked his cocky attitude and how he used to piss off everyone's faves (Tito + De La Hoya), just hated that he would gas and run out of idea's later on in a fight. If he could go down the stretch, I estimate we'd be talking about him as an ATG

    Althugz I love Tyson.

Julio Ceaser Chevaz was a very bad and ungracious loser who never gave credit when he was beat.

Floyd Mayweather to this day calls Emmanuel Stewart an Uncle Tom.

One bad trait of Miguel Cotto.... he always wants to be the boss in his own corner. It's why he replaced his uncle Evangelista with Joe (WTF?) Santiago, and now inexplicably drops Emanuel Stewart weeks before his rematch with Margacheato. Unlike Pacquiao, who understands that Roach is the boss in his corner. Pac does what Roach says. Period.

Carl Froch - Gets hit to much - i know he is not going to change his low hands style this late in his career but Carl man, you don't get points for being punched in the head. He also seems to take a while to warm up and could be faster coming out of the blocks.

Nathan Cleverley -Gets hit too much. Unlike Froch it is not to late for Cleverley to expand on his defensive repertoire and utilise his speed and footwork to punch whilst going backwards when the occasion calls for it.

Ricky Hatton- Got hit too much. I think even he realises this now but it is also what made him so watchable. His angles were good but his head movement was sometimes non-existent.

Scott Quigg - Needs to sit down on his punches, become more vicious and ruthless when the openings arise. Under Joe Gallagher his aggression has gone up a notch but i still think he can finish people off earlier. Coming from an MMA background he is brave and defensively sound but has a tendency to be too light on his feet going in and leans a bit too much when throwing punches sacrificing power for angles and volume.

Kell Brook - Needs to up his work and rate throw more punches. He is great at slipping punches but could counter with more combinations rather than single punches and take the initiative in fights. He is improving and learning to improvise but needs to mix it up a bit mid fight and change style himself rather than switching in response to his opponent.

Lennox Lewis: His hesitation to go for the kill against fighters in a vulnerable position. Sometimes he did press hard, and sometimes he didn't.

Jermain Taylor: His reluctance to improve as an all-around boxer. After he beat Hopkins twice, he figured he knew all he needed to know and that should get him by.

Roy Jones for letting Target talk him into dropping 25 pounds of muscle. He should have stayed a heavyweight or gone to cruiserweight.

now that one and calling joe louis uncle tom are far less understandable to me than some grudge he may have had against white people.
