I read a quote once of Genghis Khan don't remember exactly how it goes but it was something like only a fool continues to fight a battle he cannot win. He had the largest of all the empires back then no one calls him coward. First there's quiting like ortiz then there's the way cotto went, giving it your all and stopping when you have nothing left to give.
