Are people from the Midlands sort of average hardness then? If that stereotype were true then maybe you should have a whippet and a flat cap and live on a diet entirely made up of pies.
I'm from the Midlands (Wolverhampton) and so is Master. I've never thought of myself as a northerner or southener so I don't think there is a definitive line as such. I always just thought as southerners being anyone south of where the M1 meets the M25.

I've never been referred to as a northerner or southerner, people just to tend to take this piss out our accent. Don't blame them tbh, ours is the worst accent in the UK.
Yea, you guy's are in no-mans lands, the wasteland of the country, hence you were blessed with such a great accent
Black country accent is the worst yam yam accent ever, which is why I say I am from Birmingham.

Southern Florida is also "different" .......though I don't much care for Northern Florida either. And the "Southern States" extend all the way to Texas where at some point that becomes the "Southwest" which is a whole 'nother bag of marbles.
What?! No sweet tea......what part of Virginia didn't serve sweet tea? On another note VA is so diverse that Northerners I know have taken to jokingly calling it the Middle East.
