Comeback Nov, Malignaggi next spring/summer (possibly squeezing in another rust shedder before then) if successful against the magic man then big money fight against Khan/Brook at the end of the year.

Khan is probably quicker than Brook but i'd give the edge in power to Brook and I think it's safe to say Brook has the better chin and can probably dig a bit deeper when the going gets tough. Going on that I would expect Hatton to aim for Khan.

Could be an exciting 12 months. I just hope Hatton doesn't pick Ndou as his November opponent. Yes he's old but he's going to be in good shape he was supposed to fight recently and I think a last minute offer to fight Hatton is the real reason he pulled out. He's tough as old boots and could wreck some plans.

A fight with Khan/Brook (especially Khan) would be a stadium gig. They would piss-up 50,000+ tickets. You can't do stadiums in the winter.

Before everything; he'll have to go through Pauli. Normally he would have his chances, but he did damage his body so badly with his lifestyle that I do wonder what does he have remaining in his tank... I am absolutely not sold on the idea that he has anything meaningful remaining.

    Wembley has a roof

Im pretty shocked at this news...Why a comeback

He has nothing to prove... Is he skint and wants a mega payday against Khan?

Apparently that his promotion company didn't go well after the tv deal got broken.... I guess that he doesn't have that much money, not enough to feel comfortable and wants to make sure that he's fine for an extra 10 years.

This will be fun whilst it lasts. I just have a feeling it will end badly just like Barry McGuigan’s comeback did. No way can I see Hatton beat a Kell Brooks, maybe he stands a better chance against Khan at welterweight but at light welter Khan destroys him. There is no way Hatton is going to have that fire i his belly like he did in his prime. However we will enjoy the ride. He needs a Gavin Rees type opponent small, light puncher and no chin.

I so want it to work out well, we are just going to have to see how he looks over 12 in this comeback first. Hopefully someone durable and who will force him to work.

I just watched his last fight again. Even allowing for Manny's movement and footwork making Hatton look bad, Hatton's movement and footwork was absolutely unbelievably bad. Physically and in his face he looked like a guy making a badly-advised comeback. And that was before the KO.

Add on four years of seriously abusing his body, his face-first style of fighting and the fact that his punch resistance will definitely not have been helped by that KO and you have a disaster waiting to happen. Apparently he had a fight with his dad recently about his comeback and the police were called. Hatton is supposedly going to press charges.

I think he knew he was done after the last fight. He actually said "I'm not going to lead my fans up the garden path." Then his promotional company loses its TV deal, his promotional company is suddenly losing two million a year and at that exact same time he discovers he wants to return to the ring.

He's doing this for the wrong reasons, he was done at the top level before his last fight and the years since haven't exactly improved his chances of making a successful comeback. I can't see him fighting Paulie after watching what Paulie did to Senchenko. I can see him fighting one or two N'Dou-like guys before a moneyspinner with Khan. If he goes with Sky obviously they'll want to do the Khan PPV so they're going to be really careful about how they get there.

Hatton is the moneyman here. He can fight who he wants. If he wins his first fight back but is nowhere near world/Paulie level then he won't go there. He'll maybe fight one more fight he can win and then face Khan.

He has come out today saying he is aiming for rematches with Mayweather and Pacquiao - Honestly, Ricky makes me cringe. I'm not surprised police were called..I imagine Ricky's dad finally had enough of enabling Ricky and gave him a cold, hard dose of truth - You don't have it anymore!

This was what I meant when I said Ricky claims to be humble but is actually arrogant because he believes this stuff. Don't get me wrong, you need belief but he's heading for disaster and playing with his health.

Furthermore, I really don't want him fed to Khan who is the only man more delusional than Ricky at the moment. If he beats Ricky we'll not hear the end of it about how wonderful he is for beating a way over the hill Hatton..

I will watch his comeback fight..I hope it is against a live body who has some fairly decent power. I want to see if he still has the speed, stamina and most importantly for Ricky's style, ability to take a punch. I'll be holding my breath during that one..

To be fair, he's trying to sell tickets. He's not going to come back and say "i'd like to be WBU Champion again" is he? Haha.

I don't understand the paulie fight, the first wasn't exactly a classic and hatton pretty much dominated him! Why a rematch? Pointless fight really.

Here's what id like to see, a solid ring rust fight vs the likes of i.e mbaye then someone on the fringe or world level, and then if he looks somewhat like the fighter of old then maybe a maidana and a judah fight! It's probably looking like he'l comeback for about 2 years so i see about 4/5 fights for him (That's if he is still any good!) If he's even 75% of the fighter he was then it will be good enough to fight maidana and judah.

That's what id like anyway! But we are getting ahead of ourselves here.....as for kell brook and khan, Brook is a natural WW, Hatton and brook are at the opposite ends of there careers, Prime hatton beats brook (younger hatton went the distance and brook looked a bit shit last time out but im still not sure id favour ricky if they were to meet now! Ricky would have to stop khan IMO, he's still young and very fast, i can see hatton dogging him though!

He wants Paulie so he can have an easy title to get a Pacquiao or Mayweather fight. Im not sure he will be in it for the long haul. If it is for his career rather than to help his promotional company then I think the excitment and novelty will quickly wear off after the first fight win or lose. Getting back in to the routine will be hard for someone whos lived the life of a millionaire over the last few yearsm getting up when he wants, eating and drinking what he wants.

I was hoping Hatten would stay retired, he has a good record and is well respected around the boxing world. If Pauli or one of these other "easy" fighters make him look bad, some of that brightness might dim. I hope he has three or four fights and picks up a belt some where, then retires for good. I don't see him getting past Floyd or Manny or anyone who might beat them. All things are possible in the ring, so who knows.
