Freddy's hair has Parkinsons disease. ( I told you i've got a buzz)![]()
Ayala and Stevens seem charged up, we could see some fireworks. Fighters in the ring...
Evening all. Just sitting down to watch this with my fake dead girlfriend. I'm drinking a Duvel. At 1-2 degrees centigrade Duvel is the world's greatest beer. I won't be drinking it all night though, I'm fried already and it's too strong to drink a lot of.
Curtis Stevens KOs Elvin Ayala in round one.
Wow, Stevens crushes Ayala in the 1st round, and then some shit starts in Stevens corner.. officially a 1st round KO for Stevens, a bad left hook and Ayala was basically done.
That was impressive by Stevens! He just walked on Ayala like he was a doormat, awesome hook.
With the duel cards he just did us a favor![]()
Depends what you get. All of the craft/Trappist ones are seriously strong and it puts people off. I drink them all literally ice cold and they're less soup-like like that. Then you've got the mass produced stuff like Stella which twenty years ago used to be a great beer but now with modern brewing methods is brewed in eight days instead of eight weeks (like all big branded beers, some now brewed in three days) and is piss.
It's really hard to find a session 4-5% lager beer that's good quality. Belgium no different from anywhere else unfortunately. After my Duvel I'm drinking Urquell and that's not the same anymore either.
Campillo vs. Kovalev is up next, the HBO card comes on in about 15 minutes, I'll probably switch back an forth depending on which fight looks the best.
Kovalev looking relaxed in the dressing room.
I don't drink mass-produced beer if I can avoid it; Stella is ass. I've become something of a beer snob in my old age.
I've tried a ton of different Belgian and Belgian-style beers, Trappist and otherwise, and I just didn't really like most of them. There are some I enjoy, but on the whole I'm just not a huge fan (unlike almost everyone else it seems).
I much prefer North American ales.
