Peter Fury has been back on twitter over the last day.

"Big respect to all of you on here. My brother is still critical in a coma" due to lack of Oxygen to his Brain. By his side every day."

"@danielmiller30 my brothers life means as more to me than my own. My brother comes before any fight. We would quit boxing to have him back!!"

"@smoggie1994 blood clot went to both lungs & lost oxygen to brain for 13 minuets."

So we now learn that not only is his uncle and old trainer in a coma but he wife who was 5 months pregnant suffered a miscarriage after Chisora had pulled out!

There have been some shamefull comments regarding Tyson over the last week or so.

This is his old ainer Hughie.

Yep, nothing to do with his uncle nearly dying or his baby dying all in the same week eh...

I think its a stretch to suggest that he would be afraid of that three toed sloth because of his size. Unless Fury got cocky and sloppy as the fight drifted into the later stages this would be easy work for Fury. The only thing the guy had over Fury was weight. As long as Fury didn't try to hard to dent that cromagnon skull he would have been fine.

It could also be true that he went ahead with Chisora even though his uncle was sick because it was to late in the day to pull out but when it came down to it even after accepting the late sub and going through the motions at the weigh in he had a genuine change of heart and just maybe his family became his priority and because of that he simply could not get up for the fight.
Warren has said it was The Furys who asked for another opponent just to fight. He offered Ustinov and they bit his arm off. Not Warren forcing Ustinov on them.
His own logic shows fury was scared of Ustinov.
It makes all of fury's talk even more laughable.
    He is an idiot.
Hopefully you never lose any children or have relatives fall in to comas.

Joey abels trainer said the same thing and we know how that fight turned out.. Fury might just not be to comfortable in these public situations.. He looks pretty confident in the ring to me, so I don't read too much into these things

    nice interview though

I read Warren earlier saying it wasn't looking good for his uncle and that it was his trainer ??
Its hard to understand because a few have the name Hughie in the same family and also more than one family member/ uncle has trained Tyson.

Peters (im presuming) brother Hughie used to train Tyson. A Hughie was Tysons trainer around the time of the Chisora bout.

This Hughie was ill and had surgery and apparently it didnt go well and his family were told to be by his bedside.

When the Chisora bout was called off it wasnt Warren ramming Ustinov down the Furys throats as an alternate opponent, it was Peter Fury who went to Frank Warren and said that Tyson wanted to fight who could Frank muster.

A dying family member isnt a cut eye (which Tyson himself fought with in his last bout).

I still believe Tyson wanted to fight and that he had the better of Ustinov. Peter is the reason behind Tysons success lately and if Peter is bedside while his brother is fighting for his life he isnt going to want Tyson risking his career going in with no trainer against a fighter so vastly different and more dangerous than the original scheduled opponent without a calming hand at the helm.
    How's his uncle today?
    He's now passed away.

I'm glad this is an old thread. I thought it was about Peter Fury saying the fight still isn't signed over the weekend
