byrd is getting fat and slow and wladmir is as fast as ever, he is also FAR more technical,

his previosly superrior technique is now even better and there is no chance for byrd, who relies on tactical skills, that werent as good as the tactics big vladdy used before becoming more tactical

I pick Klitchko by late KO, or UD. But, after all that stuff about the Klitchko's being the best ever, blah, blah, blah, I'm not sure if I want him to win. Nah, it's better for the Heavyweight division IMO, if Klitchko wins.

In terms of skill I still think Wladimir is getting better, and only his chin has been weakened, but the first fight Byrd didn't land any hard enough shots for me to think they would knock out Wladimir even now...

believe it or not, i was one of those humans

i really think byrd will put up a surprising performance.....even byrd now knows how confidence is sucha factor in wlads game now, if he can just take away wlads game plan, and make a fight of it...

Well guys wouldn't fighting a guy who you beat the crap out of already boost your confidence?

Wlad has NEVER had trouble with anyone slick or who didn't punch hard, why would he have a problem now

The main things you have to do to beat Wlad are as follows: 1) Have a sturdy chin 2) Have a lot of stamina 3) Have power 4) be able to apply pressure on a guy who has a great jab and can move very well for his size and still be landing with very hard power shots.

Wlad can't fight AS WELL going backwards
Wlad moving around a lot burns energy and takes power away from him as the rounds go on
Wlad leans forward a little too much when he relaxes (leaves him open for an uppercut but puts even more reach on his jab)

Byrd is quick
Byrd can take a good shot
Byrd was able to draw with Golota (it was a bad call I think)
Byrd has no power
Byrd is lackluster offensively
Byrd hasn't KO'd anyone in 4 years and that guy was a 100% journeyman (Jeff Pegues)

it was a long shot bet made half jokingly but also made on the fact that anything can happen.


here's how it goes.......

Wlad comes out knowing he is naturally stronger and has very little to fear from Byrd's power and goes looking for the homerun. he does not conserve his engergy like he did against peter. a tired Klitchko gets hammered with a bunch of light un-answered punches and the ref waves it off.
