Minimal risk maximum exposure for Golovkin and both big pay in a fight convenient for network. Other than that its crap. Stacked at 147 so he jumps for name. Meanwhile Golovkin goes on about "we make'a big big drama show" and beats up a welterweight with a few ok challenges in division and always the possibility of stepping up to 168. In a very odd way and cannot believe I'm saying this..I almost have less respect for this than the charade Canelo pulled with Khan. At least Canelo knows his role and stayed in his lane. I like Brook as a fighter but Golovkin is going to hammer ol Brook like a nail and ultimately prove very little. Cash grab.

The way I see it Hearn had this lined up in his back pocket, he knew Senior was going to mess him about so in one master stroke he puts the Eubanks under manners and gets Kell a massive payday, Eubanks fights the winner in an even bigger event more money for Hearn he is loving it.

I think this has been in the works for awhile. I actually thought about this fight after Khan announced fighting Canelo, knowing his rivalry with Brook. Brook maybe wanting to one up Khan's step up. But it was a more of 'wouldn't it be funny if' as opposed to actually thinking it would happen. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just as surprised at this one as when I heard the Khan-Canelo announcement.
Funny how both GGG and K complained about opponents stalling with their scheduled opponents denying it and then this is announced. Hearn knows all. (I almost posted G and KKK and I'm guessing that would have me in a lot of poop.)

I can only see this fight as understandable if GGG had literally no other options. I guess Brook is a better fight than someone ranked #30 at middleweight

Totally agree, quite clever from the promoter, and we get to see GGG on two UK fights instead of one, quite what the results are is another matter......

GGG is Canelo and is equally a pussy for cherry picking by making this fight.

Brooks is Khan - a blown up welterweight (I do not care how big he is)

    Hearn is a joker.

Eubanks can not keep avoiding the big fights.

I think it sounds better than Kell and normally you use the fighters surname.

It's quite sad that the two fights most have wanted to see over the last few years have been Brook vs Khan and GGG vs Canelo, yet we get this tripe. How has this even been sanctioned. Practically lost all respect for Golovkin. Can see why he has taken it, but it's sad that a fighter who is the supposed dominant Middleweight over his era is wasting his prime fighting B- level fighters and welterweights.

If Brook actually pulls this off it would be up there with any British boxing performance and even better than Leonard upsetting Hagler.

Canelo is a pussy for not fighting GGG.

GGG is a pussy for fighting a blown up welterweight in Brook.

WARD is still the ultimate £4£ fighter who is stepping up by fighting the best and can never be accused of taking any easy step in boxing.

Eubank jr would have beat GGG...probably.

Also wonder whether Canelo-Brook was talked about? That would have been a very interesting, competitive fight at 154.
I wouldn't be surprised if golden boy nosed it around before slumping away uninterested... based on Brooks performance against Porter was is more actively aggressive than canelo. Probably figured it wouldn't be a floyd shut out but Brooks chances at slipping turning countering and stepping away probably gave him a better chance at pulling off an upset.

When comparing khan with brook. Ones got a title, a slicker style but probably wont leave England for that fight. The other has had his clock cleaned a couple of times and an almost guaranteed lapse in concentration and his eyes are usually bigger than his stomach so he won't know he bit off more than he can chew till he chokes on it. Easy pickin's for a upgraded less plodding boxer/puncher type.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
