Noakes should be a rugby player. Gets so far over his front feet square he’s tailored for uppercuts. Both cut now off head clashes.

Brilliant 5th round from both. Slugfest and both hurt.

Have this 4-1 Mason after 5. Mason getting clipped with rights and better learn to move the head off line.

Mason cutting up Sam in the 6thnow and may take over.

5-1 Mason. Like to see Mason settle down and sit down on shots a bit more. Hectic pace he fights. Saw some talk about Benavidez struggling to make weight but looks like he made it. Late rounds could be interesting if it gets there.

Excellent 7th round for Sam with a hurtful bodyshot.

4-3 Mason

6-2 Mason. Mason is winning but his defensive lapses are on display, and respect to Noakes but it’s a decision Mason is making with the natural speed and feet he has. Kid fights on emotion. Starting the buffering bs here again.

Have 117-111 at end. Noakes tough but tbh Mason made this a lot harder than it needed to be. Talk of a draw is bonkers to me

Mason won UD in a brilliant contest. Fight of the year. Two judges 7-5 and third was 9-3.
