Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions and Paul's manager, said he had no concerns about the fight on safety grounds.

"I don't think it's reckless in any way shape or form," he told BBC Sport.

"Jake's in a much better position than a lot of fights which happen in boxing on a regular basis. I think he has a great shot.

"AJ is big, strong, but slower. He's more vulnerable to Jake's movement. In my mind this is more sanctionable than many fights in the sport of boxing."

On Friday 19 December, heavyweight star Joshua will fight the YouTuber-turned-boxer at Miami’s Kaseya Center.

The bout will not be an exhibition but rather a professional contest, meaning the result will go on each man’s record and a knockout is possible.

However, the heavyweight fight is scheduled for eight three-minute rounds, making it shorter than most main-event matches on the men’s side of the sport. Furthermore, Joshua will be capped at 245lb.

Yet each man will wear 10oz gloves rather than any larger, more forgiving pairs,

can't blame AJ for cashing in here - let's be honest we'd do the same

but how does this one go. We all know Paul should be out of there within sixty seconds. If he does that he shows what a farce it is and how the public have been conned.

If he doesn't do it and carries him a few rounds he's damned and tarnished his legacy - and will be rightly villified.

So how the hell does this go

A KO in two rounds as he did with Ngannou.

The first round for the casuals and the second for the realists.

Fury did the same circus show when he postponed his contest against Usyk whilst he was heavyweight champion.

AJ is doing it after getting smashed in 5 rounds and not fighting in 18 months. This is not even a comeback fight. Just wrapping his gloves and getting paid very well for less than a sparring session.

This will be a fun event enjoy it on your Netflix subscription and treat it as a early Christmas present.

Boxing.is.done. From every single point of view APART FROM MONETARY, this fight should never go ahead.
I don’t care if Paul puts in “a heroic performance” or he gets KO’d inside a minute.
And anyone who tries to psycho-analyse how this fight will go , or how it went, is wasting their time.
    Who do I blame?
AJ - not really. Be honest , if you were in his shoes , would you turn it down?
Jake Paul - Nope . You have to respect and admire his business nous and his bottle.
The Boxing governing bodies - Fucking too right! Bunch of Spineless, corrupt useless cunts that are hell bent on selling the sport to the dogs.
Eddie Hearn - Absofuckinglutely!!! What a 2 faced cunt he has turned out to be! Completely slated the Tank Davies fight , yet this is no better.
Complete disregard for Safety, what would he not try to sell?
And yet he’s trying to sell it like he’s doing everyone a favour because “AJ can finally rid the sport of AJ.”
Do you know what I would prefer to see? Jake Paul v Eddie Hearn. I would love to see Paul knock the cunt out, that would be epic.

Lawrence Okolie has offered to spar Jake Paul in preparation for his clash with Anthony Joshua.

Okolie explained: "It's crazy. I want to go help Jake Paul, give him a chance. I want to go out there to Puerto Rico.

"What I don't want to happen for him anyway is he gets absolutely destroyed in a round or whatever if AJ turns it on.

"I want him to have a little feeling of what it's like to be in there with a world class heavyweight beforehand.

"I know I have a fight coming up, I think on the same day, but I'll go out for a couple of weeks.

"I want to know what it is that's allowed Jake Paul to say to himself: 'I'm going to get in there with a 250lbs muscle man from England, this big, towering guy, Olympic gold [medallist], former heavyweight world champion, two-time, in front of millions of fans.'

"I need to know. Maybe he's got a secret that I don't know."

To be honest, I like a lot of what Okolie has been saying recently. I still don’t think the best way to transition from CW to HW is by putting on 40lbs of fat, but hey ho.

Too much money to be made and he can always get his cornerman to save him early.

yeah good reasons, he can also use the fight to wrap up his in ring boxing career if he wants with no shame as he got in there with a former heavyweight champion

Eddie Hearn told iFL TV: “Let me tell you the script for AJ against Jake Paul: The bell’s going to go.

“AJ’s going to go out, take the middle of the ring, and he’s going to unload the heaviest artillery on Jake Paul‘s chin he can as quickly as possible.

“And he’s going to knock him spark out.

“If you think this is scripted, wait till you see what happens on December 19, because you will go, ‘F**k me’.

“‘One thing’s for sure, that weren’t scripted.’”
