What makes anyone think that b/c Baldomir beats Gatti he is somehow entitled to a PBF fight? There's, in the words of Vinve McMahon, "NO CHANCE IN HELL!!!!!" of a PBF-Baldomir fight.
If PBF won't fight Margarito cuz he aint a big money fight, why the heck would he fight a guy that only us and a few folk from Argentina have heard of? Why are so many of you even entertaining this ludacris idea?
well PBF really shouldnt be afraid of baldorail, and he has reason top fear margarito
Baldoballs guna fuck mayweather up![]()

Bababooey, are you joking?
Baldomir has THE legit belt in the division. PBF should have fought him instead of Zab.
PBF isn't champ of sh!+, not Welter not JWelter.
If he wants some belts that aren't paper he needs to get busy fighting more
Hattons and Baldomirs and less Gattis and Judahs.
Man...i knew someone was going to say that eventually...you're like brian kinney...if PBF would have tore baldoblazer (Originally Posted by FLH2o
sal) a new ass..you'd probably say..."well he didn't beat Judah" he took the easy fight then demand he fights judah....I don't get it...because i actually agree that he should have fought baldomir...and forgot about judah totally....but as far as the boxing world goes everyone seems to think that judah loss to carlos was a fluke...Haven't you noticed that when you're p4p top you have to beat up the guys who lose and the ones who win in order not to get criticized...so i guess floyd has to fight baldonator (
sal ) now....

No, I probably wouldn't have said that, in fact I assure you I wouldn't.
You're absolutely right Mayweather is gonna be scrutinized and unfairly criticized no matter what he does, but what's definitely unfair is to write off Baldomir as a fluke.
If you're one of those people who thinks it's OK to have 5 "world champions" at every division, well, I don't know what to tell you. I on the other hand, only recognize one and at WW it's Carlos Baldomir. I'm not saying he would beat Floyd I'm just saying he deserved the chance.
I didn't think he was fluke...i was actually happy he beat Judah...I said most people think it was a fluke...many seem to think that Judah would tear him up in a rematch..I'm not one of those people...I had a thread where I was stating that Baldomir is better than Judah..the proff is in the one win he has over him...and a lot of people were like "you're crazy and you're simple minded" judah is way better than him...But I say the fact is Baldomir won..which makes him the better fighter...and judah is a more athletic fighter, but unfortunately for Judah they don't compete in the decathalon it's boxing...and with all those physical skills he got beat...because he lack one of the most important attributes if not the most important which is mental capacity...Baldomir's mental capacity is better than judah's which made him a better fighter...and if they never fight again...it will read Baldomir - 1 win Judah - 1 loss...Originally Posted by FLH2o

Go Tata! make your better!
i think when you're at or near the top of everyone's P4P list, the belts aren't that important. PBF's career now is about (a) building/maintaining his reputation as the best in the world and (b) cash money. He serves neither of these purposes by fighting Baldomir--we all know that he's capable of quite easily beating a B-grade fighter, and this thing wouldn't even be PPV (and don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to watch a free HBO PBF fight--but there are a lot of fights I'd be far more interested in watching him fight, and that I'd be willing to pay money for (Hatton at the top of that list)).Originally Posted by FLH2o
If you want to see the Hatton fight (and we all do) then surely you can appreciate my point because it's the exact same scenario: Floyd beats Gatti, calls himself the Juniorwelter champ and moves up without fighting Hatton (the real champ).
He then beats Judah, calls himself the Welter champ and is ready to move on without fighting Baldomir (the real champ). It's become his MO and
I call it cherry-picking.
I understand it's about $, but as for his legacy, if he were to retire right now there would be many questions about his hand-picked opposition and the way to answer them lies with guys like Hatton, Margarito, Cotto and (sorry if you don't like it, but) Baldomir.
I agree on the beating Gatti and then leaving w/o fighting Hatton point, but I really don't think this is the same thing--and it's not cherry-picking. When they set up the fight with Judah, it wasn't so that they could win a paper title and leave w/o facing the terribly imposing carlos baldomir--when the contracts were signed, Judah was the undisputed WW champ. And while one could argue that PBF left 140 to avoid Hatton (which I don't think he did, but it's at least a plausible argument), that would be laughable when applied to Baldomir--do you really think he's afraid of losing to this guy? The odds would be like 1000:1.Originally Posted by FLH2o
I don't think going through the motions of actually beating Baldomir would do a thing to help PBF's legacy. I mean, the reason Hatton would help PBF's legacy isn't because he happened to be a beltholder--it's because he's widely recognized to be one of the top 2 or 3 fighters in the 135-147 ranks (which mayweather is too, without having an undisputed title; and which baldomir is not, despite having one).
I understand what you're saying and no, of course I don't think Floyd is scared of Baldomir. I just think it's sad that Baldomir DESTROYED Zab, hurt him badly, had him running all over the ring to survive, took his best shots while tapping his chin, taunting, the only reason Zab has a belt left is because poor Carlos couldn't pay all the sanctioning fees and everyone just kind of overlooks it.
I bet if Baldomir had fast hands, a mouth full of metal and an entourage of rappers it would be different.
