Duran and Hearns would have been torn the Fwook up by PBF...esp Duran's overrated a$$....He and Ray leonard probably would have been a good fight...but SRL wasn't as good on defence as PBF
the only thing torn up would be PBF by hearns right hand. duran would have tenderised his ribs, leonard would be a good matchup but SRL always found a way to win at welterweight. PBF should worry about what hattons gonna do to him

You mean the right hand that didn't land againt SRL...And duran would have gotten close to floyd...but I'm done because frankly i'm too tired to argue about fighters from two seperate eras.....none of the old fighter would beat the young fighters...because there is too much technology available to fighter now that weren't then, and these fighters have the benefit of studying fighters that fought before them that's why they learn...that's why man gets better, because you take what the old men did and make it better...just like when floyd is done and some young chap comes along he will be probably better than PBF...because he will have studied the tapes of the older fighters, PBF included....

im not sure what you mean technology because they were in the same weightclass, have you seen the Duran-Leonard fight? Duran was awesome and would beat most welterweights today, he would beat castillo and Corales imo..

First off, I don't know how much I believe the seconds out website.

Secondly, why does Floyd have to be a gentleman. It would be nice if he were all quaint and "Yes sir Mr. Hatton, and you have a woderful night," but if he didn't, who cares.

Ali bad mouthed probably every boxer he ever fought. It's almost bizarre that people are demanding respect in a sport where people puch each other in the face.

RJJ and PBF are my two fav fighters obviously...And I've followed them both for a long time now...I just don't do what a lot of other people do...

Which is: Sit around and keep wishing upon a contender to beat the top guy, then when the contender loses, start bashing the top guy and discrediting the fallen contender's ability...(that's only one of the many ways that people try to bash the top fighters)...I could give more examples if you'd like...

I didn't particularly mind when Roy was on top.........but when he kept fighting people like Richard Hall and others when everyone knew they had no chance, there would be no point of watching yet alone paying. lol
It would be the same result, i had other favourite fighters to watch

Yea,depends on if it's a worhtwhile "contender" or an over the hill bum or someone over rated. I don't recall anyone "bashing" Joe Calzaghe when he beat Lacy.

Noones bashing on Floyd here, he's a great fighter. However, there is no way anyone can dodge the fact that 1) Hatton is his biggest threat out there and 2) Floyd will be in a tough fight if it comes off. The criticisim on Hatton was always from the U.S that he had supposedly been "pampered" and had a padded record. He's now proved this to be false by beating the most recognised man in the Junior WW division, and convincingly. Therefore shouldnt he be respected as a threat like any othe fighter who's undefeated through 40 fights would be?

Are You kidding me?!?! Floyd struggled in the first five rounds against ZAB JUDAH. Now are you gonna tell me Zab is anywhere near as good (ignoring endurance and stamina) as all three of these guys? Ok, assuming you dont do something as odd as that we've established they are at least making Floyd SEVERELY struggle. Now, bring in the endurance and stamina of all these guys, all three of which were warriors who could of gone 15 with the best of any time let alone and I see Floyd getting beaten. I can accept that Floyd would have a chance, but as far as him fwocking up Hearns and Duran being overrated? PLLLLLEEEAAASEEEE

they didn't bash Calzaghe...no..what they did was one of the other methods..the passive-aggresive kind...the kind where you give credit but at the same time take it away..."Damn calzaghe beat the shat out of lacy, i was impressed, but Lacy wasn't ready"

    does that sound familiar?

and as far as Richard hall is concerned...every fighter beats up nobody's...and Roy loved his belts so he wasn't giving them up...and Richard had one loss, and was no.1 contender at the time...when they fought..so don't use hindsight now...who was supposed to know RJJ would tear that dude up like that...but that's what Roy did his entire career outclass the competition...it's funny that you mention him (hall) because even after ROY beat him...the supposed real LHW champ fought and beat him twice....yet i don't hear anybody poking fun at DM's opponent selection...

and as far as the guy that disagrees with Duran being overrated....he only only had 28 title fights out of 116...and he lost 10 of those....head to head against the good to great fighters...duran had 23 opponents in 30 fights...his record was 19-11....that makes him good...but by no means in the top ten alltime...that's means he's overrated....
