Krzysztof Zimnoch's new opponent for Feb 23:
I admire your steadfast loyalty to the heavyweight division. Someone's got to remain interested, I guess. My own personal interest has been dropping off with every poor fight involving a Klitschko and an overmatched, scared opponent.
Is a heavyweight "horde" on the horizon? Seems I've been hearing that for a couple of years now. The horizon must be farther off than I thought. A few thoughts about the article:
- I noticed Seth Mitchell wasn't on the list. He (Rafael) must've become disenchanted with Seth and his loss to Banks. I like Seth, but I don't think he's "Klitschko-challenger" material. He'd fold.
- Banks doesn't do much for me at all. Besides, if he's not in line to fight a Klitschko, why mention him?
- How many fights is Deontay Wilder going to have before they put a live body in there with him? Patience is running thin.... at least mine is. So far he's little more than a circus freak.
- Jennings is good... I like him. But he's small in comparison to other behemoths. I'm not sure how successful he'd be against a Klitschko.
The rest I'm not all that familiar with. Seen some clips of David Price, and he looks promising. He's got size and power, too. Fury I'm not familiar with at all.... but I noticed the guy's huge.
The $1 million question is:
When is one of these guys going to be ready for Wlad? And when he is, is Wlad going to be willing and able to accept the challenge? Will it be too late? I would hate for Wlad to ride off into the sunset without a serious challenge from at least one of these fighters in the "so-called" horde.
