lewis looked just dazed fighting on such a big stage at the time and for 6rounds was no doubt losing the fight. Everyone in the country wanted bruno to win, everyone in the stadium wanted bruno to win. But once lewis caught him with the first real monster punch of the fight it was done and dusted

ultimately brunos downfall was simply because he didnt know how to survive an onslaught
    one dangerous horrible bloke

I'm sure many of you have noticed , but just by reading the title of this thread sums up the intellect of the guy who wrote it.
Need we say any more on the subject ?

He still throws his punches with good technical skill, but that style that Sdunek trained him in was exactly the way Boytsov fights today, it's an action packed style, lots of power punches but you leave yourself open for counters. The problem with the style is that it didn't get Wladimir to use his physical advantages when appropriate.

If Wlad still had his same old style I think there are a number of fights that would have either ended quicker (Rahman, Chagaev, Ibragimov) or Wlad would have lost (Thompson [he would have tired out by the 12th] and maybe Sam Peter...although if Wlad poured on the punches he may have stopped Sam)

I always wondered how Bruno would have done vs some different fighters of his era: Bowe, Holyfield, Moorer, Mercer, Morrison, and Ruddock. Doubt Frank wins many of those but he would have made them interesting
I think your last sentence brings us to the crux of the matter. Brunos people would never dream of putting him in with a 'live' fighter unless it was a title fight, in which case its unavoidable. I aint shitting on bruno or his fans but he was an extremely limited fighter who was VERY well managed

I had at times looked at Bruno as a British version of Hasim Rahman

In hindsight Bruno was a better fighter than Rahman.
