Maybe im old fashion, but the more I read the Hatton bashing, the more I root for him. Hatton has got to be the only 41-0 Title holder in the history of boxing that everybody can beat.

Very tough fight for Hatton and although I didn't score it round by round if it had gone the other way there could have been no complaints.

I felt Ricky was exposed a little bit tonight. He's been built up by so many people to be the man who is goingt to beat the man at 140 and 147 that last night was a reality check. That was probably the first time Ricky has fought a slick boxer with fast hands and he looked vulnerable.

Credit to him for staying on his feet in the last round when I thought he was done but he really didn't look like a Mayweather beater to me.

Actually I've gone on record many times saying Hatton has little chance against Floyd anyway and I do think that Collazo will be proved in the future to be a very good fighter. He looked to me at times to be the white version of Zab Judah but with a better chin.

I still think Ricky could beat Castillo and Cotto, he has little chance against Floyd but then I already knew that anyways.

Not really true son,Hatton has ALWAYS had problems with southpaws, and Collazo was a natural 147 pounder too. The only thing that worries me was that Collazo's power had an affect on Ricky,he only has 12 kos but Ricky can grow into the division. Floyd is not tall, not a southpaw, and not a true 147 pounder and has yet to face 1 himself! If they were to fight later this year(hypothetically speaking),I'd put my money on...Fl oyd

Live it up man. Now is the time. Hatton LOST! He LOST THAT DAMN FIGHT! Lil fuker got his face all mangled up and rightfully so, likes to hit folks on the break, throw elbows, nutshots, kidney shots. I wonder how he liked that Elbow Collazo nailed him with in bout the 10th? That was some good shat man!!!!

Do u think that maybe Hatton looked good in his hometown cuz he got away with alot of illegal punches that dont fly in the US? Just curious

Honestly no, I think he didn't use his bread and butter of smothering the fighter and then working the body....he worked the body OK but he didn't do it at key points in the fight such as in the clinch. He let himself get tied up.

The illegal blows aren't as bad as Benn's were...Hatton could have taken advantage that ref was inexperienced...and Ricky fought like he thought the ref was going to persecute him for anything questionable, and it may have affected him but it's no excuse

Not trying to take away from Hatton's achievements V Kostya but I think he did get the benefit of home town reffing. I remember similar things happening back when Jeff Fenech fought in Australia. He was the house fighter and a crowding volume puncher like Hatton. Australian refs used to let him wrestle and maul like the guy allowed Hatton to V Kostya. It's not Ricky's fault, but breaks should have been enforced and the pushing and holding and hitting could have been policed a lot more.

The house fighter seems to get preferential treatment in America too though (Lacy V Reid)

Now that the Kostia "smoothening into submission" is past tense, now that the "cheap C class fighter's fights" record-padding are history, now that the "Taking-America-By-Storm" is more of a reality and the Collazo experience is the beginning of an anticipated oversea's British invasion of the highly heralded Mancunian sensation... why not talking about taking over somebody who's not pbp rated or mentioned; someone who's in long waiting to fight a marquee's name, someone who's starving for recognition as a price fighter, somebody who's name doesn't really even want to be mentioned at all like a name that evoke a bad spell in any boxing circles: Antonio Margarito.

(Gosh, sweet science gods knows how bad I want this fight to happen)
Small is the number of them that see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.

CC my brother HOLLAR! To be honest though,if I was Hatton,I would run a mile in the opposite direction from Margarito,he would get KTFO.What do I base that conclusion on?> His inability to muscle Collazo, his unwillingness to take a backwards step AND Collazo, with 12 kos, hurt him waaay too much. I would not mind seeing Collazo Margarito.
