ive heard that the juarez decision was totally BS, i believe it based on the fact juarez just goes for the KO, and got out the fuck boxed by soto

that's just objective information--it's entirely separate and not necessarily related to how anyone "rates" him. personally, i can accept those facts and still say that i don't rate him as a top 10 p4p fighter. and i think most people agree. so again, how is he overrated?
its cuz he lost both fights to b-hop, but was given decisions, therefore people rate him above b-hop
    1. I don't rate him above B-Hop, and I don't think most people do.

    2. Even if I did, I don't rate B-Hop all that highly any more, so I could rank Taylor ahead of him and still have neither of them in any kind of top p4p list.

Not rated highly, thus not overrated.

Oscar promotes the first four but Karmazin should be rated obove at least three of them.

theres no conspiracy, boxrec is just run by a poorly written algorythm that tends to sometimes even look wrong on paper...

its done automatically by some mathematic formula tho, so nobody is fixing the rankings...

if there was a conspiracy, it would have to be written into whatever algorythm controlls the rankings

To be fair i think Calzaghe was overated by some people claiming he was a better then SMW then Roy Jones.

Joe Calzaghe is underrated, not overrated.

Everyone thought Lacy was gonna destroy him and just looked what happened. The only guy that could beat him would be Tarver up at 175lbs. (And I'm still debating what that outcome would be) Otherwise he would beat any other fighter from 160 to 175lbs.

Joe is just getting enough credit right now because he hasn't fought the tough guys until just recently! Jeff Lacy...now he has to step it up again

Why has nobody mentioned COTTO? He's undefeated and extremely overrated. Cotto will beat Malignaggi who hasn't even proved himself to be considered overrated. But once he steps in the ring with Castillo he will find out that he is in over his head.

Cotto is not over rated simply because I think people lost if for my boy after the Torres fight. I think the boy has the boxing skills to go faaar and he will only keep on getting better. I think the fight with JLC will do him good and at 147,we will see the best of him,he won't have to kill himself to make the weight. Let us not forget, firstly he is young and secondly,he may not have fought great opposition but there are some good fighters there.

Well I remember a Stunned Cotto up against "Chop-Chop" Corley. His chin is questionable and when he goes up against a hard hitter like Castillo he may get knocked out. I don't understand how he's been protected so much in choosing apponents and now they throw him in the ring with a devistating slugger. Why not against Casamayor, Bojado or Gatti first?

    Cotto's chin is not questionable.

He got dropped & got up & then knocked out both of the men that dropped him...or if you consider the ref stepping in...he still TKO'd them.

Cotto has been hit by some of the heavy hitters out there. Many of the men that Cotto has beaten were top fighters & also put up a great fight.

Cotto's fantastic on the fact alone that his record reads like a who's who at Light Welter weight. He's bested & faced people like Corley, Pinto, Bailey, Sosa, Branco, N'dou, & Abdulaev. He's still young & in the start of his career.

Nothing overratted about that. If you follow 140 & 147 closely...you know the reputations of the men that he has beaten & that solidifies Cotto as a force...not a myth at Welter & Light Welter.
