Mr ripped
Instead of just spouting off fighting words from behind your computer, why don’t you give us some evidence of why you believe Valuev is so good? Oh, I know it must be his gargantuan size and his huge archaic brow ridges; or maybe it is because you heard that he dominated ruiz and Larry Donald in Germany where everybody gets such a fair shake?
I really like Valuev and think he is an interesting character but common sense tells me that he is not going near as far as you think and if he could hardly beat Ruiz then no, he probably could not beat Taylor either.
Who said I think he's going far brainiac? There's a difference between thinking he's good and simply thinking that a 7'0 foot, 320 lb man is not going to lose to a 160 pounder. Saying that a heavyweight who could barely beat John Ruiz would lose to Jermaine Taylor officially makes you not only the dumbest person on this board, you are the dumbest person with which I have interracted in my life. You make Baller27 look like Leonardo Da VinciHave a nice life

Valuev is shite and shouldnt be brought up in a convo with such greats.
I'm sure Im not the only one who thinks he could, Prime Tyson could probobly have beaten prime Foreman, but we'll never know, and no I'm not a tyson nut job, i just have a different opinion.Originally Posted by Lyle

160 lbs Harry Grebe beat up heavyweights all of the time

Billy Conn started out as a welterweight and beat a lot of heavyweights and almost knoked out Joe Luis http://www.eastsideboxing.com/boxing...earden2702.php
“Tiny” Tommy burns beat up a lot of big heavyweights. http://www.cyberboxingzone.com/boxing/burns.htm
Jack Dempsey pulverized 6.7’ Jess Willard
Giant 6.6’ Primo Carnera got beat by much smaller men as well
These are just a few examples that any boxing fan would know and how could you even forget that blown-up middleweights like Toney, RJJ, and Bird have all been successful heavyweights?
fact is in rockys day heavys weren't as big, if he were around now he'd be more bulked up so its hard to say what would happen but a 215lbs tyson at 5'11 vs a 215lbs 5'11 rocky which is what rocky would have to weigh at heavy now. rocky to win by ko in 5 or 6
It depends how quick he would be at 215lbs, I think Tyson would win it by KO in 5 or 6 but it's hard to say.Originally Posted by nuclear bull
Rocky was too small to deal with heavyweights today
so would joe louis, jack dempsey, gene tunney, ezzard charlesOriginally Posted by The_One77
All of the true experts knows this is not true as seen with Toney,RJJ, and Bird. Furthermore, since when did any modern fighters inflict such devastating punches as abserved in the past?Originally Posted by undefeated
You are probably just a liberal progressive who wants everybody to think that everything today is better than that of the past.
