Yes, I am a Boxing Coach, Yes I know what I am talking about....

The thing you have to realize is, there are people out there that do know a few more things than you...

For one thing, like the Spina fight that you say Spina chickened out of...

How do you know what deals were made period...there is alot more than just money when it comes to contracts...

There are Venues, Pay per View rights(If any), Advertising rights, Rules for fight.....And lots more that hyped up fans like yourself tend not to think about...

I believe that if the MONEY as you say was really good, Spina would have taken it!! The fact that he didnt just proves the point that it wasnt as good a deal as thought...Not like this is a million dollar fight....

You still havent responded to the fact that he could really test himself and fight Alan Green....Or, is Peter running from a fight like that Sounds like you have been running from that statement since it was made!!! ,,,!,

Its not all about picking you apart, you do that well on your own...

    Good Luck,

    Coach

    PS.

Marathon Runners use 5k races for warm up/training and time testing, thats because they adapt themselves to all types of environment, thats why some marathon runners run their last 5k just as fast as a 5k runner can...

BoxingCoach, are you a powerpuncher by any chance?
Is he a powerpuncher or is he The Powerpuncher

    Haha

PRIDE, I have to give it to you, you like to get the last word in edgewise...

Lemme finalize this whole thing in what I am about to post...

In the 80's and early 90's I have ran 9 Marathons, quite a few Team Marathons, Half Marathons, 15k, 10k, 5k races, lots of track meets from High school. I also boxed in the 80's for whom I consider to be the best boxing Coach in Michigan, Richard Guillien....Runs the second oldest Gym in the state.

Through all this, I never made exscuses, just promises of my return....I could run in all situations put in front of me, its about the will and the heart...DO I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN In me I felt I did...Did I win all the time?? Hell no!! But, I learned through the years what would make me better...

I have been involved in boxing for over 20 years, I have seen great wins and some great losses...

Were they all correct, Hell no!!

But, the best of fighters dont make exscuses for their mistakes, they get their ass back in the gym and train for the next fight...This is why I love Amateur fighting so much,,,There is no room for exscuses. Some of these kids fight 4+ times a week, yes, a week....Do they make exscuses, NO, they are right back in the gym training and learning how to correct the mistakes....

Proffessional fighters need to realize and remember where alot of them came from, remember that its all about what you learn, not earn...

Peter did well in his fight with Mora, did he win, No....Why, because Peter and Mora made the classic mistake most fighters make in the ring.....They left it to the judges and when you do this, you take a chance that someone seen it your way....If you dont want close losses, dont leave a fight to the judges, I think Winky can attest to that...

Peter might grow as a fighter, but just as you say Calzaghe will retire....Is Peter willing to wait that long to find out what he has to offer to a great fighter?? Lacy didnt wait, he thought he had it too, when he found out he didnt...He did not hide away in a cave, he jumped right back in the saddle...

The fight with PEmberton was a stepping stone, by far not a test, Peter won a fight he was supposed to....Gratz!!

If you want to be considered great, fight like it....If you want to considered good, then keep watching the greats!!!

I listen to all sorts of comments and criticism, I feel it makes me better as a coach to be open minded...

By far, I never put myself above who I train.....Dont put yourself there either....

Good Luck and Keep your head up!!!

    Coach
