Settle down Gym...you are getting a little to excited. Oscar avoided Floyd? Sure, whatever you say buddy. "Corrales who at the time was supposed to be the one to own Mayweather relect back in time baby." According to who? i certainly never thought Corrales was going to "own" Floyd. And Floyd got Corrales's wife front row seats to beat him up?! Wow, I guess that makes him a great boxer. As I stated earlier, I think Floyd is very talented fighter. But he simply has not fought the caliber of opponents that he should be to be considered the "pond for pound" king. "Your going to see a lot more nobodies in the near future as Mayweather continues his reign of terror." That kind of ridiculous tallk and hype belongs in the HBO broadcast booth. Maybe Floyd can fight a few more Gatti type fighters....then he can declare himself the greatest of all time.

Oscar's last fight at 130 was in 1994, PBF didn't become a pro until 1996. By that time Oscar was at 140, PBF wasn't at 140 until 2004. So I don't really understand the Oscar avoided Mayweather thing.

But he did fight very good competition in his early years, I do agree with that. But I don't see how Oscar avoided him back in the day.

And thats what will/may happen to Shane.

    THE END

Well done for stating the obvious.

Simple, if Floyd cant knock out a tired Glass Jaw Judah, hes not gonna "easily TKO Shane"

I seem to remember a sticky moment when Floyd got caught by Demarcus Corley...

How would Floyd's legs feel if Sugar Shane landed a crushing punch? at147 too?

Hell, this fight could even happen at 154 - as Mayweather was fast to point out he would happily fight at 140,147 and 154.

Do you Floyd supporters think it would wise to tackle Shane at 154, seeing as he's swam that deep for a while now?

I swear this has got to be the most naive form of logic by boxing fans when discussing fighters. That because a fighter is stunned by a fighter with limited power, every other fighter who is stronger will either also stun him or KO him. If this were the case, Ali would have been floored by every other fighter he fought after Chuck Wepner dropped him. I also find it amusing this sense that Mosley somehow has any, let alone a huge, power advantage over Floyd. That Floyd will simply crumble under the power of Nutrasweet Shane Mosley. Need I remind you the man has 1 KO in the past five years? I don't care what weight he was fighting at. Floyd ain't Adrian Stone. I know Floyd won't disgard of Mosley either, but people need to stop thinking Mosley is going to overpower Mayweather. Mayweather will literally embarrass him.

Samson, if Floyd can "embarrass" the likes of Mosely's and De la Hoya's instead of Gatti's and Mitchell's...i'll give him his props. And you are right...Shane hasn't been a knockout artist recently. But i think his power and speed will hardly allow Floyd to embarrass him. I think it would be an exciting fight.

Definately agree it's time for Floyd to step up the comp from the likes of Gatti and co., but believe me, embarrassing Mosley would not only be easy for Floyd, it would not really be all that big a deal as far as notches in Mayweather's belt. Mosley causes as much fear in opponents as John Ruiz.

Shane would be a dangerous opponent for Floyd, but if the fight was @ 154 I feel Floyd would still have most advantages, bar power. At 147 Floyd's speed, defense & counter punching ability would dominate, I feel Floyd is at a better stage of his career right now than Mosley, people here are criticising Floyds calibre of opponents which is crazy, Mosley's record as far back as January 2002 has been crap, his only decent win was a disputed decision over Oscar. Floyd win this fight!!!

agreed.....but as long as a fighter has 2 fists and a good heart beat he stands a chance...that was from Rocky 5 I think...but I love that quote....

Was Mosley just being nice when he said to Mayweather "why dont you leave me alone and go fight Margarito for 8 million;" or is it that Mosley's promoter is promoting his toughest guys for Margarito.

It seems to me since Mosley is not so sure of himself as some of us are then maybe he could fight Cintron who knocked out the guy that Mosley struggled a bit with? I think Cintron would be a good warm up for his promised move back to welterweight.

vernon has a style that debugs Shane Mosley no matter how shot he is(and I dont think Forrest is shot)
