Honestly...I dont think that he's too heavy...I mean...your'e right...he is heavy...but the issue I see is that he's got no game plan other than loop my shots till one lands.

God I want him to KO Toney though...I mean...just a few lucky shots will do it.

I watched Toney vs Holy just the other night & Holy caught James several times & it stunned him...or kinda slowed him...he felt it is what I'm gettin at...thing is...Holy is thrice as skilled as Peter...but if Peter applies loads of pressure & backs Toney up...he could catch him & really give Toney the Lights Out moniker in a legit way...but...that being said...

I just don't see it happening.

Toney by decision, sure Peter's a big puncher but I don't feel he has the ability to catch Toney!

I want to pick Peter, but Peter plains sucks as a boxer, haha.

I'll be rooting for Peter this weekend though.

    Peter Late Stoppage...
because he's too powerful, young, and wants it.

I believe Toney is too wise and skilled for someone as 1 dimensional as Peter. I'm not keen on Peter at all and I think it will be a wide ud for James.I hope he comes in condition too.I wonder what would happen if Peter went to the body,it must hurt James with all the flab right?

In all honesty...I'm really fond of Sam Peter...but indeed he is a bit limited.

Maybe he'll shock the world this go around...maybe not.

I like Peter too, and to be honest he as good a chance of beating Toney as there has ever been. Toney's weight issues did seem too much against Rahman. Toney's workrate was poor, he was off balance and was breathing as though he had miniature lungs...and he is 38....

Its all about the weight for me. Even 230 is too heavy for a 38 year old who needs high heels to even get near 6 feet tall.....

Why go on about Toney being fat; Peter being too heavy is making him just slow enough to be avoided. Peter is to heavy. Toney should be -220 and Peter 230.

    Agreed.

Thought & said the very same thing below. This does all hinge on Toney's weight & conditioning.

    Too true!

The thing is this...Toney is not a natural at his fattest...Peter is.

Peter's been coming in a 246 to 250 in his most recent fights. I honestly think that Peter with come in at 255-256 for this fight. Peter's mentality seems to be that the heavier he comes in...the harder he hits.

That may be a working factor for him, but not Toney...as he aint a hard hitter in the 200 lb division. Toney's strengths are his slickness...& honestly, they have suffered with the fatter he has gotten. He looked slow & shitty against Rahman...he better be able to slip a lot more...or else he could get caught & get put out.

Which I would love nothing more.

Here's a question that I'd love an answer to, from everyone on the thread!

What would you rather see Peter do?

For those that want to see Toney lose, how would you rather him take his L? Would you rather him beat Toney by decision or would you rather him KO Toney?

I was thinking & flip flopping on the answer. Honestly, I think that I'd rather Peter drop Toney once or twice like he did Wlad & then go on to win the decision. I think I'd honestly love to see Toney humiliated by someone as limited as Peter.

Just curious what those of you who want Toney to lose think.

It could go either way, I would like to see Peter knock out Toney because I hate him, and then again I would like to see Toney win where he would then get knocked out by Wlad!

I don't really have an preference for who wins this fight - I think the next big thing in the HW division still has yet to make himself known - but if JT loses, I really think it'll be by KO/TKO. You just can't ignore the natural power difference. Peter fights like a bear - maul, maul, maul. Skillwise there's absolutely no comparison. But I still think Peter has a decent shot at this one, simply because JT isn't naturally built to withstand a strong HW's natural power.

I still think JT pulls out the UD...too much slipperiness and guile.

Agreed with both the Duke & bcollins...but everyone be sure to plug the polls & vote.

It seems like a landslide in Toney's favor...but I would love it if we all were sitting on the edge of our couches around the world with our jaws on the floor & S*** all over the ceilings as Toney counts his 20 or 30th lightbulb!

    Heh heh heh.
