Guys that want to see a rematch,what will be so different? I like both fighters,I thought it would be closer but IF they did fight again,what would Lacy do better(I've only seen 4 Lacy fights)

A rematch ? this is the most funny thing I heard in boxing since long time.

There are no reasons for a rematch, this is quite non sense.

If lacy wants a rematch he must - fight a lot of top contender to prove he still has it, and takes a belt to someone...so in these circumstances, yes there will be something to gain for Joe.

Otherwise, I won't spend money to see another humiliating night like the one we saw. Who for the hell Lacy think he is ? he thinks that he's top material ? hell guy just fight the other top fighters...because you're not match for Joe, not playing in the same league.

lacy is in fact looking into arematching Rubin Williams who he TKo'd in 7. Williams is claiming he took the fight on two weeks notice and wants get back. Lacy's people are looking into it. Bottom line , Lacy was title holder who went into Calzaghe's backyard , gave him all the concessions and now wants the oppurtunity to get redemption. WHat other fighter so readily asks for another after a loss like that ? What is there to criticize in that ? What do you want out of your fighters ?

That's not the point at all, they both got spanked in entirely one-sided fights. It's not like it was controversial or even close for that matter. Gatti didn't quit, McGirt pulled the plug.

You're right .But Lacy still wasn't stopped . Gatti looked worse than Jeff in half the time. Lacy Calzaghe was a unification bout . WHy is a rematch so out of the question?

Didn't MAb get blown out vs. PAc? Yet many want that rematch , don't they ?

The thing is these rematches are getting out of hand.. It's like every fight is a rematch now days... i don't really have a problem with the rematch as long as both fighters have a few fights in between and then if the rematch makes sense at that point in time .. I truly hate all these immediate rematches, there are other fighters in the sport of boxing that need an opportunity to fight also. That just my opinion .

I agree! I am kinda thru with this discussion and respectfully disagree with everyone that thinks Lacy shouldnt get a rematch after a few comeback fights...... We will just have to see if it is in the future for both fighters...If Lacy comesback with fury and Ko's or beatsdown a few high profile guys within the next year and Joe is still around...I could see it happening

I here you Lord's but it's not like Joe has capatilized on the Victory and is moving onto other things that are more adventageous for his career I mean it's like the same pattern..He took the most dangerous fight of his career won....Then takes on some assclown...I like Joe alot and his credentials proceed him he is truly the Kingpin of 168...I mean if he moved up in weight or fought a Winky Wright, Jermain Taylor or an Allan Green or someone with credibility I would say Jeff get your S*** together then go for it but Joe isint capitalizing....

Frankly any Diehard Calzaghe fan across the pond would be lying to the whole world if they were to say they were happy and satisfied that he is fighting Bika...

He also is losing his hard earned credibility in the states from Beating Lacy, by his next opponent

No ofc i want to see him beat another world class fighter - but whom? To me the ebst fighter for Joe to beat right now is Taylor, that aint hapenin' any time soon. Rjj? bollax to that, hes past it, they cud of fought prime for prime, the win wud do nothing for clazaghe, so who else? kessler? fight is lined up with buyer. i have always beena firm believer in w8ing for the next few fights b4 judging. there is a great possibility joe can take this easy fight, meet the winner of kes and bueyr, unifi, cox Jt to come up, loot to beat him and go to win a LH title and call it a day.

Look... I'm a big Lacy fan... BUT!!! Joe showed what fighting quality does to you... Exposes your weaknesses. I will never take anything away from Joe. He put on a clinic(I'm American) I think Joe is by far the best in the SMWD... I also think h needs to fight a superfight to solidify his place... He has already showed he has what it takes. He has fought @ a wld class level. But, Lacy is all he's got.(I am not downplaying the win as it was a masterclass tru a$$ woopin)I think Joe cold be in the HOF if he had a few big ones under his belt and he has a few aging heros to choose from. I think he is great and yes... people downplay what he's done. I don't. I just wannna see him beat some great world class fighters... Even one(more) C'mon Joe... MAB DID get blown out by Pac,but MAB also didn't train for a few weeks due to a fire at his training camp,had rumours about his private life,had a split from a long time associate and maybe under estimated a man moving up in weight and he remained competetive for the beginning of the fight,winning a few rounds at least. Absolutely none of those points relate to Lacy,and MAB did not get hit upside the head 1,006 times and did not get/want a rematch straight away,it's been 3 years.( I mean no disrespect to Lacy fans,just pointing out that an MAB analogy does not apply)
