Never said you weren't entitled to your opinion babe...but when you compare apples to apples & try to smudge Floyd's record...you should frown on your guy...Hatton...who I will dub from here on in "Sir Lightning Foot."

Let me say this...if you think that running undefeated your whole career & booking names like Castillo, Corrales, Gatti, Judah, Baldo, Hernandez, & oh so many more means nothing...that staying on top does not dictate P4P...you are sadly not in the know.

Floyd has heart & he is most certainly a champion. He gutted it out against Castillo twice & he's battered everyone else that he has faced...not only does he have heart...he's a dominant force in the ring.

He's not the only one calling himself P4P...it's the media & the majority of the boxing community.

What makes me laugh is that you bump Hatton up with all this heart nonsense because he beat a lot of bums, then beat Kostya, beat another bum by default champ, & then barely scraped by Collazo. That's what makes me laugh.

Let him try & beat Floyd...let him beat Floyd...let him lose to Floyd...whatever happens happens...but in the end...I will still be the one who can respect the winner no matter whom it may be.

You on the other...Floyd wins...you'll just cry & say Hatton wasn't this or Hatton wasn't ready for that or he ate some bad shrimp on the flight over.

All well and good listing the current P4P ratings mate, but what i said was, KT was rated no3 at the time of the Hatton fight. I asked has Floyd fought a fighter that was in the P4P rankings at the time of the fight, ever ?
The opponents you have listed of Floyds 2 of them were previously beaten by KT. IMO Castillo is probably the best name on Floyds resume and that was at Lightweight yea?

I can see this running into a debacle.

Wacko if you want to call boxers names and disrespect them in that manner then you and i will fall out big time. I have never called Floyd. I think it's ridiculous that you would stoop to that level.

From what i remember Floyd has on many occasions called himself No1.

Who did Ricky beat by default may i ask ?

Im surprised you actually think you know me that well to think i would cry if/when Ricky looses. I personally thought Ricky would get beat by KT, and to my surprise he didnt.

The funny thing is that you rate KT as p4p because he beat who? Zab Judah, Sharmba Mitchell and who?
Don't get me wrong, I have tons of respect for KT, one of my all-time faves. But come-on, floyd has fought the better competition overall.
KT was rated P4P by many in boxing at the time. Look back at the records and see for ya self. The guys KT beat were then beaten later by Floyd. Floyd took on KT's defeated fighters, Judah, Mitchell, and actually took longer to do it. Many people say KT was past it, over the hill etc after the fight with Hatton. But he managed to dispatch Judah and Mitchell quicker than what Floyd did.
Firstly, there are no other p4p welters ATM

I would agree that Castillo had the best performance against PBF of anyone, the first fight.

    Yes you are correct

Wacko if you want to call boxers names and disrespect them in that manner then you and i will fall out big time. I have never called Floyd. I think it's ridiculous that you would stoop to that level.

thanks for not calling out names

From what i remember Floyd has on many occasions called himself No1.

This is true, he has also claimed that he will beat everyone, and that he will fight anyone.
I don't believe the last two statements.

Who did Ricky beat by default may i ask ?

Aside from KT who has Ricky beat? A bunch of paper title holders

Im surprised you actually think you know me that well to think i would cry if/when Ricky looses. I personally thought Ricky would get beat by KT, and to my surprise he didnt.

I think this comes from the fact that you claim Ricky is invincible. Ricky eeked out the wins over KT and Collazo, PBF has had one close fight and that was a long time ago. While you might not like his style, you have to admit he wins in a much more dominating fashion that Hatton.

p.s. I refuse to watch the Hatton / Tszyu fight anymore, I have watched it like 50 times now because of arguments on this page.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

And he deserved a draw at best. Why is this a good thing? Nor did Floyd "run around the ring." He was incredibly elusive and dodged pretty much everythign Baldomir threw at him. You obviously don't appreciate defense, but Floyd's defense was amazing in that fight.

He doesn't have "boxing skills"--he's an untechnical brawler. That's why you love him so much and hate Floyd, remember?

I take your point (and I thought that Floyd put on a masterclass), but I am a bit reluctant to give punchstats much credibility because:

    - it is a human who presses a button each time they think a fighter punches the other. It's not a machine doing the counting so I belive the numbers are fallible. This is essentially the same system as amateur scoring in the Olympics, and look at the ridiculous decisions we still get there.
    - I don't think we have arrived at a consistent definition of 'punch' - so I don't think we can properly compare fights where a different person was plugging numbers into punchstats.
    - Jack Dempsey annihilated Georges Carpentier (for example), yet Carpentier threw much much more punches and landed hundreds of pitty-pat blows. Every time Dempsey hit him, he nearly broke him in half but an objective reading of punchstat - if it had existed then - would lead us to believe that Carpentier was winning. The system does not discern between the QUALITY of the punch and its effects.

So ...... I agree with you that PBF was brilliant. But maybe you could find a better way of proving it to the doubters than quoting punchstats? (because people who dislike punchstats will try to prove your point wrong, when they just don't rate punchstat, and not because they necessarilty disagree with your point about this fight?)

    Only my opinion !

But JT wasn't using punchstats to prove that PBF dominated Baldomir. Pretty much everyone admits that. Most agree that he won all 12 rounds (a few people give Baldi 1 or 2 rounds). JT was citing the punchstats to show that this was not an action-free fight. Granted, there's more action in a fight where someone's hitting really hard and knocking the other guy down a lot; but the fact that there were as many punches thrown here as in plenty of other fights at least gives the lie to the idea that this fight just consisted of PBF running laps around the ring with Baldi chasing him.

I just wanna say that its truly appalling, the hate that is heaped upon Floyd and his fans. I haven’t even been able to articulate my thoughts clear, true and mature enough to be able to compete with some of the childish rants that iv been quietly reading since Sunday.

I have, instead of an answer, or a witty remark, or outrageous diss, a question for each and every Floyd hater on this forum.

Who in boxing possesses his ability, and who has the ability to do more than what he has done in boxing?
