Stop with these "tune up" fights and go out there and collect all of the belts. Even if Joe exposes Kessler to be a bum fighter then at least he went after someone legit. Just like you have to give PBF some props for at least taking on Baldomir (recognized champ) you would have to do the same for Joe for unifying all of the belts.

Manfredo is a name in the states but not a name that draws. People know him from the show but I seriously doubt he would bring in any type of PPV numbers.

Damm it Joe stop dicking around and unify!!!!!!!!
Manfredo is NOT a name in the states. Ask 10 of your friends who like sports(and are not boxing fanatics like us) who Manfredo is. Id guess 9 out 10 wouldnt know EITHER name. F##% man. This so dumb. What the hell is Joe thinking? In my book,if he dosent fight Kessler he really isnt shit. Like i said before,im getting closer and closer to jumping on Royals famous Kessler bandwagon.

believe it or not he is a name in the states because of the popularity of the contender. maybe its cuz there is a large population of boston people (who identify with him for some reason) and boxing fans where i live, but almost everyone i know knows who manfredo is and not even most know who calzaghe is...lol if this fight happens maybe i wont let on anything to the ones that dont know and make some bets on it with em...LOL!

I guess Joe will have a fairly easy win. Instead of Calzaghe vs Kessler I will be looking forward to

    Kessler vs Andrade.

Andrade is not a "contender" he is 4 real I think I was impressed last time I saw him.

I hope it will be in the US so if Kessler win he will have a bigger name than C..hicken sorry misspelled dam English....than C.....algae sorry Calzaffeh.. F*** it, Joe in the states

I will ad that eventhough I am a Kessler fan a match against Calzaghe ( there is was again )would have been great not sure Kessler would win. But that would have been a great fight

I don't understand why a great figher like Calzaghe would dodge Kessler. Unification

You gave a fair account of the possibilities of a fight between Calzaghe and Kessler. And you know Calzaghe might win. That aint no nut hugger so fair play Royal. That is cool.

I'm only speaking for local casual boxing fans in AZ, but Joe Calzaghe is better known in these circles than Peter Manfredo.
I like both guys, but this fight would be an absolute slaughter, Joe could beat him with one hand, which may in fact be Joe's plan
from now on, to make sure that he fights guys that he can beat without using his injured hand.

Honestly, I see either Manfredo or Kessler having the same result against Joe, getting completely blown out.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I've been giving this a little thought and if he did fight Manfredo (Who must be a household name in the US) then would'nt it be a pretty good matchup to give him some more US exposure? I think so
Could be a stepping stone fight for a Taylor or Hopkins Showdown.
Cannot see him going to Fight Kessler in his own back yard really

That's the thing though, Manfredo isn't really a well known boxer in the US, EXCEPT in the New England Area. Don't get me wrong, he is definately gaining popularity, but I still think Joe would benefit more from Kessler, which by the way Kessler has definately EARNED the right to fight Joe more than Manfredo.
