#2 One can see that unlike RJJ or Mosley, Floyd's combinations aren't the best in the world...he can't "shine shoes" like those guys

#3 Oscar has power, speed, size, strength, and the chin to absolutely lay the smack down on Floyd

    #4 This is at 154....

    Good Night Mayweather!
Oscar cant move anything close to Floyd...Thats a Fact!!!!!!!!!!!

Oscar Last few fights havent proven anything at all especially on how he will compete at the high level FLoyds at....

When Oscar steps in the ring May 2007 it will be a year of inactivity....Before that it was a year and and 8 Months from the Hopkins match which had probably one of the lowest punch outputs of a championship in recent memory......Before that he recieved a gift desicion against Strum as to Preserve the Hopkins Match

The last real fight Oscar was in you have to look back to 2003 against Mosely...Which will be 4 years removed from May 2007, if you were talking about the Oscar of the early 2000's or late 90's I would agree with most of what your saying....Boxing is a "What have you done for me lately business" and Oscar hasnt really done anything so we really have no conclusive evidence do we? To me thats one of the biggest unknowns of this match

I'm getting exhausted listening to the proclomation that Floyd dosent put Combos together ALL OF A SUDDEN...

Just cause he boxed cautiously against a naturally bigger 190lb every other fight he throws combos....People need to get there head out of Manny Stewards ass...The 1st time I really heard people bitchin about that was when Manny Called Floyd a poor mans Roy Jones cause he was getting in and out of there against Baldi...

Dont be suprised to see Floyd Coming in below 150LBs anyway just cause the fights at 154 dosent mean Floyd will will jump all the way up...He has the potential to Box Oscars ears off with his speed and reflex advantage I dont see him giving sacraficing those advantages for a few more pounds....

He fought Mayorga impressively because Ricardo is a macho wildly swinging unortodox come forward fighter with a leaky defense who leads with his chin.......Previous to that fight Ricardo got owned by Tito Trinidad...So how shot is Mayorga who knows But again shows no indication whatsoever how Oscar can raise the bar to Floyds level lately

He's not gunna weigh much more than baldomir and so long as his hands hold up i fink there is a chance he can stop oscar. I don't mean knock him clean out or anythin. I mean he can box his head off, make the fight so one sided that eventually it will get stopped. Just my opinion, call me crazy. I'm not a mayweather fan, i'm a massive hatton fan so am not bias. I jus dont see 'an oscar from 9/10 yrs ago' turnin up. I see an over the hill de la hoya turning up. Hope he proves me wrong but we shall see. :P

I say Mayweather by at least a 116-112 margin on all 3 cards. I'm not sold on Oscar's fitness/speed at this stage of his career. He looked spectacular against Mayorga, but that doesn't really prove much, except that he's not really really shot.

I don't think even a prime Oscar would have the speed and timing to break down Floyd's defense--no way a 2007 Oscar does.

Have to agree that this fight will lack fireworks though. I see Floyd dodging most of everything and potshotting Oscar enough to take the majority of the rounds.

Floyd has said he is going to KO Oscar, well he better put some horseshoes in those gloves of his!!!

You ask "When was the last time Oscar performed at Floyd's level?"....that's odd because when the hell has FLOYD performed on Oscar's level This fight isn't about proving Oscar's level...we've seen him, we know him, we know how he has faired in victory and defeat and we know how tough the guy is.

VS Baldomir the whole deal is not that Floyd boxed cautiously it's that he boxed that way vs a guy who couldn't hurt him!!!

What's the problem in wanting Floyd to be in and out, like you said, only this time throwing more punches....and if you are focused on your defense then let the other guy throw punches so you can counter him instead of running away like a girl. Props to Floyd for winning but winning that way won't increase your fan base

It wasn't but a few years ago when Floyd said this: "Oscar De la Hoya can have my father as a trainer, I had him forever and I switched to Roger because honestly my father made me a boring fighter and now with Roger I am not boring."

....hmmmm, yeah.....I'll let you have a minute to digest that.....

BOMBSHELL I JUST DROPPED ON YO ASS!!!! BOOOOOOOM!!!!

You were all like "whatever Floyd boxed as best he could vs a big guy" and I was like "Floyd said he's not boring anymore" and you were all "awww damn" and I was all ....LAUGHIN IN YO FACE!!!!

Hahahaha, yeah just ignore that whole part after "I'll let you have a minute to digest this"

Nah its all good to me.............BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since when is Floyd boring.....Cause out of 1 fight with Baldomir his proclaimed Boring...Really thats Dumb now after you take 2 days to digest this simple info...

And as usual you are skirting the real issue and masking it with not so witty humor.. So I'll ask again..Believe me I am typing real slow for you.......

There you go on about Oscar again....at 154 he's good enough to be a champion and he's good enough to blast Ricardo Mayorga knocking him down in ROUND ONE! I doubt Floyd has the chin of Mayorga.

You say what have you done for me lately and BROTHER Floyd was boring as shit "lately"! So therefore by YOUR rational, ODH has it on Floyd....ODH's last fight he stepped up and took out an iron chinned opponent....a guy some people thought would at least go the distance with De la Hoya.

I understand Floyd is UNQUESTIONABLY at the top of his game....but he's never ever EVER had to step up in class like this. Do you understand why I question him? Sure if he wins, that's awesome, but if he loses it puts him in his place in the history of the sport.

You make no sense JT. Listen, you obviously like Floyd....he might be one of your favorite boxers. While i'm not a big fan of his, i can admitt that he is very talented. HOWEVER, you say boxing is a business of "what have you done for me lately." And it's true...Oscar hasn't been particularly active. Floyd has. But against who. He hasn't fought a meaningful fight in years. Completely coasting. Wait...you are gonna throw out names like Gatti.......or maybe Judah......or WORSE.......Baldomir. I have stated this many times....nothing makes a great fighter look better than fighting subpar opposition. None of this is to say Floyd can't or wont beat Oscar. But i don't think it's close to being a sure thing. True, Oscar fought a brawler in Mayorga....but he showed that his power is spot on. He has always been a good technical fighter...and he will train like crazy for this fight. Add to that his experience in BIG fights. Floyd will be pushing it big time to try and go up so much in weight. One thing is for certain....if Floyd actually backs up his big talk of trading with Oscar....he will be hurt.

With that rational than Mayweather vs Mayorga would be like the Gatti fight for Mayweather...At least Gatti can Box...Mayorga Trys to much to be like the Tazmanian devil.......Throws all caution to the wind and relies on Machismo.......Not a smart man by anymeans...Tailor made for Floyd and Ocsar...again Inconclusive..

Mayorga- Dumb, Slow, Predictable, no defense, little skill

Floyd- Smart, Fast, Best defense today, Supreme Boxer, All the skill and then some

I can see the strikeing similarity.....Suprised I couldnt see the corrulation before

Never said it was a sure thing I brought up a valid point...Oscar hasnt had to go full bore in 4 years at 33 you dont think thats a fair question....

Mayorga dosent prove shite........He leads with his chin and if you consider getting punched in the face allnite good defense well he is the master then....... He dosent even defend himself half the time....C'mon Trinidad ruined him big time

I like Oscar but my boy hasnt tested his true mettle in 4 friggin years he aint no spring chicken.....

Believe you me Floyd aint even gonna try to touch 154 dont be suprised to see him weigh in a tad over Welterweight limit of 147...

Yeah Mayorga ain't a superior boxer but there was a challenge and Oscar knocked that challenge right out!

You speak of Oscar "coasting"....that's all Floyd did vs Baldomir and Judah...when was the last time Floyd was forced to stand and deliver

Gatti can box!!! More like...he likes to get punched. Not saying we should use the Oscar/Mayorga fight as a measuring stick for where Delahoya is right now...but on the same note...we shouldn't use Floyd's recent fights as an example of his superiority. If there is a fighter smarter than Floyd, it's Oscar. Floyd has been stunned by much lesser fighters than Oscar.

...hahaha yeah using Gatti as an example was mighty bad, De la Hoya throttled him in 5 rounds in 2001, before he had the trilogy with Ward!!!
